Writing a CV in the modern world
Discussion
Only ever had one job which I got a long time ago and I am not sure I agree with half of the "how to write a CV" websites.
Should a profile summary/personal statement be in bullet points or a paragraph? The latter can require extensive use of the word "I" which is not very inventive and the former is much easier to read.
Do people still bother with college grades and GCSEs even when they were years ago and their most recent achievement is a BSc Hons?

A high quality CV goes much beyond this in terms of attempting to trigger a positive response in the reader.
But to your specific questions:
- only show academic quals 2-down
- write in paragraphs using third person
2 down, sorry? But to your specific questions:

Third person? I assume you mean "managed key stakeholders" rather than "I managed key stakeholders"?
Sorry; 2-down meaning only show 2 levels. If your highest academic qualification is a first degree, you'd show that and your A levels but not your GCSEs. If you progress to a Masters, you'd drop the A levels and so on. This is as much about saving space to allow you to keep to 2 sides as well as not showing irrelevant stuff. And this is just a guide, not an absolute. Hope that clarifies?
I'm now in the same boat
Having worked for the same company (although working my way up the ranks) for 25 years, , I've decided to take the opportunity of VR in the latest round of redundancies and finish in the next few weeks, leaving my role as a Lead Project Manager.
Of course, that means that I've now got to produce a CV which will actually mean something outside the company I've worked for.
I've put together a draft of one using an Online template I have found, and used some of the guidelines given above, but are there any more tips / advice to make it as good as I can (In addition to 'send it to Rog007')

It will depend if you are looking for Perm or Contract work really.
I have a short personal statement, don't list where I live, or DOB. Just an email address and phone number + LinkedIn profile.
First page covers last 2 contracts, next page brief one liners with a bit of expansion other relevant work, then a skills table/volunteering summary (if appropriate).
I turned my 11 years as a permie into 2 year chunks and made it ready like a series of contracts.
I generally draft my next CV before leaving and try and find someone who has done some hiring there to review it for me
