Average Salary in Switzerland
Discussion
Hi, Was just wondering what would be considered a decent salary in Zurich. Might have a job offer there and want to know if the wage is good or not. Also how much is the cost of living over there? Is it as expensive as say london and how much to rent a decent flat/house in a decent area?
Cheers

UBS publishes every second year "Prices and earnings" that compare prices, incomes, income taxes, purchasing power, working hours and vacation days for 71 major cities across the globe. According to this study, the Swiss hubs of economic development, namely Zurich, Basle and Geneva, are among the front runners of cities with the highest gross pay, for all types of professions. Prices for consumer goods, housing and health insurance are, partly due to the relatively high level of salaries in Switzerland, very high. However, people working in Zurich have the highest purchasing power in the world.
