I bought one of the tubi sets from ebay...........they had another set but it had a little bit of damage to the tips which could have been fixed, I think they still have those for sale and they sound AMAZING (They're also £1400 new so at £300 are a bargain!)
You indeed had a bargain. When I saw them coming up I was very, very tempted to buy the one you now have, but having just replaced mine with the H&S less than a month ago, I think putting this one past swmbo would have meant instant divorce papers M5Tom said:

Would you care to share where they were old chap?sorry didn't mean to gloat (that much)
I've been scouring m5board, bmw5.co.uk and other places trying to find the right exhaust at the right price and am chuffed to finally find one.
I'm sure you get yourself something good - otherwise consider getting a custom straight though set of pipes maybe?

Hope you managed to get an exhaust eventually
I've had my Eisenmann system fitted today and BLOODY HELL ITS LOUD!
Seriously, its the loudest exhaust I've ever had on any previous cars I've modded (Fiesta 1.4 Sport, Golf GTi, Saxo VTS, Honda S2000), but it sounds utterly gorgeous.
Very throaty and menacing at low revs, but a real spine tingling, race car howl at the upper reaches.
Awesome bit of kit and very highly recommended. As long as you have deaf neighbours.
Cheers

Dont Eissman do a servo'd version also?
I am now thinking of chancing my hand with one of the Ebay advertising "Build one while you wait" chaps. Anyone any experience of these? I am very exact about the look though and terrified of creating a Royal Feck Up.
Treating her to a few bobs worth of paint and a wheel refurb this week so may as well go the whole hog.

I have the Eisenmann Sport and it strikes the right balance for my use, which is mainly motorway cruising: no drone and just the standard exhaust turned up to 11 + with all the right noises. The Race version is LOUD.
A cheaper alternative is some SuperSprint X-pipes and the standard exhaust.

I got mine done for £180.00 at a Longlife Exhaust centre in Basingstoke. They just removed the rear baffles and welded in straight through pipes. The tip choice was very limited but the work was to a good standard and the sound is amazing. I am now thinking of chancing my hand with one of the Ebay advertising "Build one while you wait" chaps. Its worth ringing around locally to see what is on offer but most seem to be around £200-£300 and can offer a wide range of tips and claim they can tailor the sound. I have used this place before for a De Cat on another car.
