It's called Frozen Silver - I understand its the only European example in that colour, from the factory. We've been given it to see what kind of feedback we get on it from customers in the showroom - if its thumbs up, they will introduce it along side their Frozen Black and Frozen Grey paint codes
Well as a customer my reaction is a big thumbs up!

Can you still get 1M's? Please PM me.

Ben.

Will be sold at list price - no more, no less.

Erm, sold on Saturday at list price actually, so not sure how your comment relates.
You really think an unregistered example of a limited-run car with such strong reviews would struggle to sell?
Indeed. Mine's for sale (White/500 miles) - for reasons discussed under the other main 1M topic/heading - and within 24 hours of mentioning on here had two offers FROM DEALERS at -£2.5k off list and a number of private buyers in contact.

So do you think a £2.5k hit is acceptable?

The first ones for sale we saw on BMW AUC, Autotrader and PH were going for list or above.

£2.5k is not bad and that amount may not go down much more even after another 1000 miles.

Have any sold above list?

Somewhere between £2k and £0k would prob be ok. I'm guessing -£2.5k offer from dealers suggests they expect to get very near list on a quick turn. Don't know about BMW AUC but did Autotrader/PH advertised cars actually go for asking price I wonder? I'm loathed to sell so will use it as an excuse to keep it if I don't get ok price! Plus as I'm not desperate I'd be loathed to 'devalue' the 1M car for others. Can't see anyone paying over list when you can still get cars (allbeit with a wait) new from dealers. Had a few mad premiums (which was nice) on cars over the years but they were Fezzas, Porsches and the like - not £40k cars.

Perhaps there's margin in the £2.5k to negotiate with them so I would accept the same margin you suggest.

No idea if those cars have gone, although the original one on AT is no longer there but a different one has appeared which is also on PH. There are now 3 on PH including that one, of the two others, 1 is still for sale and the other sold.

4 on BMW AUC, appear to be list price, dealer stock with some mileage on.

There appears to be the market for it, perhaps some can't be bothered to wait or shop around looking for an allocation.

We're not allowed to sell any car for a price more than what it was sold for originally (in the case of the 1M, list). It's a standard BMW policy. An example of where this comes into play is with the new shape X3.. currently, due to Japan, build slots for new customers are projected as late as March/April 2012. Any demonstrators have had their 3 month life extended and when cars do come about they are immediately retailed at list price and snapped up. It's insane. Even leasing companies (usually after new cars) are calling dealers up to try find ANY car, at any price, for their customers. I suppose where there is demand, and low supply, premiums / strong residuals will always be provided.
In the case of the 1M, it has both rarity and praise in its favour to keep that demand supply crossover mega high on the graph!

Would the 1M not have been better with better gearing? It almost does top speed in the last 3 gears!

No

Top Gear review mentioned a fair few still for sale, think it was about the 150 mark.

Go to a dealer and you'll pick on up no probs

I've seen on a couple of thread's that a few people have a £400 deal for service inclusive for the 1M Coupe. I have bought a new car from the main dealer in Bournemouth (car due to arrive mid August) and they are quoting £1,000 for service inclusive so I sent them the link somebody had put on here for the £400 deal but they will not match that!! If any 1M owners on the site have got the £400 deal would you mind letting me know which dealership you got that price through? Just trying to see if a few dealers have been offering the £400 deal?

Also has anybody managed to get below 8% APR BMW finance for the 1M? Because it's a limited run car, the dealer said they have their hands tied by BMW UK and they can't go much below 8% APR. It's a £45k car all in with no discount - shame there is no give on the APR rate or service inclusive deal considering no discount on the new price and it's my second new car from the same dealer (not feeling the love!) but I guess they can sell all the production, hence no deals. Again, any feeback would be much appreciated....
