not much progress for me as I'm in Athens and probably won't be home till mid August.
I think the trailer will have to come later in the year as I need something to pull it first.

I did just book BMWCC track day at Donington for the 29th September!

Regarding steering racks, I actually have two E46 330i M-Sport ones in the garage.... didn't know you could fit to the E36.

let us know how you get on.

What track days are you doing over the summer?
Nothing booked yet, waiting for confirmations from a couple of friends, one of whom has just bought an E36 evo

Brief up Date.
Donington this weekend (190 miles on track)

Steering wheel and rack worked well.
Brakes good, but boiled the fluid so have ordered some high temp fluid and some ducting.

Don't buy cheep eBay steering wheels, they bend, it didn't even make it to the car.
JJC race sorted me out with a nice suede one.

Bedford last year

Donington yesterday

Bully - may do Anglesey in April

4 years late, but on the first page you said you couldnt remove the air con bracket unless the front pulley came off?

You can, just turn the pulley around and there is a cut out for access to those bolts!!

Thanks!

WOW 4 years! that's the longest I've owned any car!

will have to check the exact figures, but that means I've done 1,800 track only miles

Way over due an update:

in 2015 did Snetterton, Donnington and bedford in the M3 and bedford in the Mini.

some pictures:
at snetterton we shared our garage with a race team testing a 458 race car, with a scania and all the accompaniments, friendly bunch, but very different from our budget fun!

Very good. Have you noticed much improvement from doing the valve shims?

I think it sounds better, but hard to tell any improvement from just going in and out of the garage wink

Preping for Donnington on Monday.

tried to fit a Sparco seat frame, but with runners and a helmet, its too high, putting my head in the roof lining, disappointing for what should be a 'proper' part.
so have reverted to my home made bar with holds in the correct places

Some stick Nakang NS-2R tyres
but these are only available in 255 vs 245 - so a tiny bit of arch rolling was required

(notsure why its posted the pic on the pi55 - sorry)

Currently doing the brake lines so dropped sub frame and fuel tank

End of a chapter, after 8 years and much fun the Purple panzer has moved on, a trader up north has bought it and is in the process of flipping it

The reason for the change, we as a group were doing less trackdays and i wanted a manual car to use on the road, i was struggling to get the M3 through an MOT to get it road legal, so it went

What next.. 8,600 rpm of NA V8 M3 is filling the spot
