Nope, sat-nav has always been an optional extra on the M135i!

Mine arrived biggrin (CVL, 1st week of Jan order, base spec)

Very different hand over experience from you guys, he parked the car on my drive (it came out of a box lorry), he told me to check it over then gave me the keys, had me sign the paperwork and left.

No checking for insurance, no "telling me the controls" (thankfully). I'm not complaining, just saying.

Mine arrived with 7 miles on. Just had it out for a hoon and my suspicions are confirmed. While it's a VERY good every day car, it's not special like an M car, and maybe I've been spoilt by the M3 noise but it sounds pretty poor too.

Also, for some reason I was CONVINCED even the base spec came with satnav. Apparently not frown Has this been a change recently?

The new steering wheel is lovely, and the speed limiter is a good enough replacement for not being able to spec the comfort pack
Pics! Hopefully get some info on mine this week! Out of interest how long from arriving at the dealership to it being delivered to you?

Couldn't tell you Liam, about a week from when they found out it was at the dealer, but I half suspect they still not know now if I'd not checked you.

Pics, new wheel is lovely.

Encountered two of these things on the road now, on both occasions the owners seem to have been determined to show me that their car is "really fast" and can "beat mine" by acting like complete nobs and trying to incite me into racing them, pulling back, sprinting forward etc etc, usual knob head MO.

Its a car that is now firmly on my ignore list

Great story smile

I'm assuming the same has been posted in any threads with Focus ST / RS, Astra VXR, Megane Cups, Clio RS, Civic Type Rs, S3s wink

Knobheads drive all cars, I'd be put off by a Rangie for the same reason, even though they're lovely machines.

I realised last night that the small display (between the two main dials) changes colour, sometimes it's white, mostly it matches the main dials.
I had a look through the manuals when I parked up last night but as it was late and I was knackered I didn't exactly scour them cover to cover.

Any suggestions? Had another look this morning and thought it could be some kind of rev warning but that didn't seem to be it.

This would seem to be an obvious answer, except it went from red to white to red again on the way home last night.
When the lights are on it seems to be mostly red (ie same as the dials) but occassionally white.

Not in Eco mode either - last night I was in sport.

Hi very close to ordering one of these -manual, still wondering about colours and options in particular

-HK speakers vs BMW advanced speakers
- what is so good about adaptive suspension?
- business vs pro satnav
- enhanced bluetooth

any opinion/experience on these would be appreciated
I have the adaptive suspension...

It's well worth it, in comfort the ride is really very good. For 90% of the time I use that as it's nice and plush.

Sport mode tightens things up substantially and I'm often reaching for the switch as I'm about to enter a tight series of bends at speed!

So compared to the standard suspension:

Comfort is more more er comfortable...

Sport has better body control...

The stock springs are quite crashy, I'm sure the adaptive would have made my last 45 miles drive more comfortable.

On that topic, what mode are people finding themselves using? I can see myself being in eco pro mode for the majority of distance driving.

The steering feels too heavy in sport mode, and removes what's left of the feel so my only options are eco, comfort and comfort + aids off.

Just managed 37mpg, not bad for a 100 mile engine. Sat at 75mph on the motorways

I'm spending far more time in eco mode than I expectd Jon.

But then I do a lot of driving on the motorway, so stick cruise on and eco mode and leave it there. It's a bit annoying when the Peugeot diesel in front of you in a queue of traffic pulls away and you're left standing as the revs slowly pick up.

Mostly its in comfort mode around town but occassionally sport when I feel like being a hooligan.
Must check what the overall MPG is later, I think it's high 20s from memory.

I've asked the 'genius' at my local dealer if the car can be defaulted to sport, he didn't know and hasn't got back to me yet so I guess it can't.

The car feels broken in eco-pro mode, I keep thinking it's gone in to limp mode hehe.

I do tend to switch between modes on a journey probably because I can.

I'm wondering if the ECO-mode does anything to improve fuel consumption. Anybody done any real tests to compare? I sense that all it does is kill the AC for a bit and cut power when you accelerate, but on an MWAY cruise at say 70mph you'd get the consumption in ECO as you would in Comfort with the AC off.

Sorry not got HK, but the standard speakers are bit meh
Adaptive gives a great ride, but I didn't compare it to standard before I bought.
Pronav gives you a bigger screen, enhanced bluetooth and the (black?) sat nav display in between speedo and rev counter. Well worth the money IMHO
IFAIK enhanced blue tooth gives music streaming. It's OK, but there are plenty of alternative ways of playing music

I flicked through the handbook last night and I'm sure one of the things the key can do with remember which mode you were last in, and default back to that.

Without adaptive suspension, I really don't get sport. Less throttle accuracy, even more artificial feeling steering!

It even says for example 'Sport' in the manual but it won't do it for me, that's why I went in and asked.

I think the throttle response in sport is way better than the other settings. I feel in comfort you have to floor the throttle to get it to do anything, it's not linear. Maybe coming from an N/A 3.0 that is my expectation.
