Good deal although it's actually £367 with the deposit. £13,200 over 3 years / 24k miles should be a little more than depreciation for a car than can be bought new for £25,200. Given how low yields are on savings atm, it's a difficult choice if you have the cash.

There was a proper £300/month deal at the end of last year even with the deposit, and I think it was on 10k miles / year.

My key just broke.

Currently sitting here waiting for the gf to bring me the spare, turns out you can unlock the car with the hidden key in the fob, but it sets the alarm off and you can't do anything else.

Cheers bmw.

Just polished mine for the second time in 4000 miles, needed it after the sticker application.

Got some chrome exhaust tips coming tomorrow from a 435i M Sport, just going to try them.

Bit late now but I thought if you hold it against the symbol on the steering column it should still work even if the key has no power?

Worked for my father when the key for his 5GT failed.

Just called BMW, they need the car for "up to 2 days" to diagnose the fault.

Genius. Just program me a new key and send me on my way!

It's a long shot but the dealer who sold me mine said to try both sides of the steering column as some have the sensor on the other side.

Picked mine up today - initial observations as follows:

  • Great sound, pulls hard but economy is surprisingly good (38mpg on the 200 mile trip home - way better than my old S4)
  • Rides well (better than the S4 again), steering is very direct and darty. Bet it's a handful in the wet?!
A bit off topic (so apologies for that!) but what size wheels was your S4 running? I'm considering an S4 Avant to replace my E92 335i but I've driven an M135i and if the ride in an S4 is worse than one of those that could push me more towards an F31 335i. I actually think the ride in the M135i is perfectly acceptable for the type of car but I'd hope a larger machine like an S4 would be better not worse where that's concerned!

Also, what sort of fuel consumption were you getting from the S4? I think the combined figure for the 2011 model is the same as my 335i (circa 33mpg) and I average just over 30; was the S4 similar in your experience?

Well it came out of the factory on 18s but I had 19s on my old manual S4 (God I loved that car!) so I got them to stick the 19s on the new one and to be honest the ride was crap grumpy If it had come out of the factory on 19s though maybe it would have been better - I'll never know. I believe from the other PH S4 owners that the ride is perfectly decent.

The economy was ok - bit worse than on my old S4 which bugged me but the engine was maybe still tight. Got 20ish round town and 30ish on a run. Perfectly acceptable for a car of that size and power.

The thing that killed it for me was the auto box - it was my first and I just couldn't get the hang of it at all and there's no manual in the newest S4 so it had to go frown

PS - get yourself over to the Audi section and find the B8 S4 ownership thread - some good guys on there

I ordered an M135i 3dr with

Estoril blue metallic
Auto box
Professional media upgrade
Sun pack
Heated seats (leather obviously)
High beam assist
Driver comfort pack
12k a year mileage

and all this for £400 a month over 36 with £1500 down and £2500 P/X on my 04 plate 330ci M Sport (Imola Red / Black leather).

Bear in mind I'd ordered a new Golf R with DSG, Discover media and metallic that that was £410 a month. Cancelled the order after all the private individuals being proposad as 'sole trader' and upsetting the applecart between VW retail and VW fleet which became quite public on other PH threads. Just made me lose confidence in the brand so I returned to what I know.

Should pick it up next week (ironically a week before the Golf even goes into build) as I landed a cancelled order in the right colour and spec.

Hello folks,

Been trawling through the BMW forums for everything BMW M135i related.

Approached a few leasing companies but with my spec over 3 years and 12,000 miles it works out way too expensive.

Looking for triptronic
comfort pack
privacy glass
estrol blue
H&K sound system
electric mirrors

Any help from the people in the know would be sincerely and genuinely appreciated.

Anyone got any decent discounts on new cars recently? £25k sounds like a great saving.

Hi Guys - I'm off to Test Drive and hopefully buy an M135i this weekend.

It's the first time I've bought a new car, so does anyone have any tips at-all? Anything to look out for or ask about?

I've got about £4k to put down as a deposit so I'm hoping for a decent deal. Any help much appreciated.

Don't forget to spec black panel, comfort pack and possibly extended storage if you want a 12v in the boot.

Just had to take my car in with the dreaded fan issue.

Now for the nervous wait to see which woefully inadequate courtesy car I am given.

+1 black panel (I didn't, and whilst I've got over it, the black panel is excellent). Also have the pack with cruise control which is nice, but the standard speed limiter does 70% of the job. The lowest nav pack makes decent use of the big screen - more is probably not necessary.
