You really have to know what an M135i is, to 99% of the world it's just another 1 series diesel with the msport kit.
I get away with my F10 M5, the majority of my clients simply think it's a 5 series.
I use the M135i a lot for work, something completely boring would have been preferable on this occasion though.

Interesting to read your economy figures. I thought there would've been a clear difference between Auto and Manual. Or are the Manual cars simply more likely to be driven by driving god, twinkle toe types?

Perhaps we just understand how to use a gearbox to return both economy and performance when the need arises, and don't let a computer do it for us Interesting to read your economy figures. I've hammered my mileage due to job relocation. I'm expecting I'll be a good 15000 miles over if all goes well. I managed 46mpg this morning - mostly because I had a 56 mile range and 52 miles to go with limited chances to fill up.
So a little off topic, but this appears to have turned into the M135i chat thread now!
I have read a lot about the Burger Tuning JB4 tuning box for the previous 135, which appears to have been well received. Just wondered if anyone has tried this:

Don't know if it applies to the m135i, but my f10 m5 on a 230mile run did more to the gallon without using cruise. Round trip was 28mpg. OK so I was trapping on but at 70 mph for the first leg it managed a shade under 30mpg.

When driving on foot, we'll be lifting a lot earlier if we see an issue ahead. With cruise control there's more of a chance we'll stay fixed to the speed we're at, then react by braking, which we all know is the worst thing possible for economy.
I'm finding the limiter the best of both worlds, really liking it and I'm now very glad I didn't spec cruise control.
I've done 4.5k so far, averaging 29mpg according to the computer. The service countdown dropped from 19k to 18k within the first 500 miles but has remained on 18k right up to the mileage I'm at now.
Can anyone remember what the excess charges were for Network? I seem to remember the first 2 or 4k over was at a lower rate.

I did buy another new car from them though and It was just over 2 years into a 4 year deal.

On the way there, eco plus and nursing it, cruise control on 73, 60kgs of luggage on board, 37.3mpg.
On the way back, having more fun, cruised at 84, 33.3mpg.
I calculate that at 1.29, that's £23.50 or £26.46 in fuel.
I'm not going to bother nursing it as much in hindsight

As I approach 4000 miles I am really starting to warm to this beast after a slow start.
It was always rapid but felt it was a little one trick pony. I wanted more noise and involvement as I use an old Passat for the daily grind.
Anyway, in a fortunate position where I have just bought a M3 CSL, which I love. After that noise, engagement and frustration (which all make it perfect), slipping into the M135i, which has oodles of torque a brilliant gearbox and feeling like it is made out of granite made me appreciate it for what it is. Hope I don't like it too much to buy it at the end of the lease :s
