So, the insurance is going to be quite expensive - £1k+ but this is (mainly - don't ask!) due to having 0 years NCB.

The other half was even easily convinced, which was a pleasant surprise.

I've never had a brand new car with 300+ bhp so the thought of getting one of these is really floating my boat.

You only live once, right?!

Close but you're not right.

As it's a scheme through work, I'm not sure if I want to say. But as you've got so close, I guess you probably know anyway!
So if it's close, and not Alpha Drive, is it still going through Alphabet?

Our company use Alphabet, and we have Alpha Drive but can't anywhere like that price for me. I was quoted £390 on the same as you.

Please share who it's with as desperate to get one in the near future.

It is Alphabet - I just didn't realise that their scheme was called AlphaDrive until I saw the blatantly obvious logo on their site after checking this morning!

Is Alphabet the BMW Group employee scheme?

Yes and no. Alphabet are the BMW Group's lease company.

Mainly there for fleet customers, but do programs for companies for people who don't get company cars. I think they fund the BMW employee scheme, or that might just be BMW Financial Services - although they are practically the same company. One owns the other.

Grey with coral is what we have. Very pleased with it. Do spec auto and adaptive suspension too though.
Good stuff! I'd like to have a test drive to compare both manual and auto before committing really. Did you chose any other options?
Yep I did - visibility pack with the adaptive lights (bloody fab); Pro Nav; and the window tint thing. I do wish I'd stumped up for the electric seats now though.

Some numpty changed lanes into the side of me redface(

I'm now smoking round in a 520d provided by the accident management company...

It's slow but the 8 speed does seem to get the best out of it and the steering is much nicer than the M135i system.

Indeed. Could have been worse though. Looks like I'm getting a new door.

Hopefully getting it back today.

I wish mine did! I don't think any of the Alphabet/AlphaDrive schemes do but I could be wrong...

Will we ever see the M235i with the sort of cracking lease deals that the M135i had?

Didn't know that - I thought one of the big benefits of these ECO type schemes was that they included insurance. The NHS one does.

I'd imagine when the M2 comes out.

Discounts for both cash and lease isn't great at the moment sadly.

You'll get 6k off a 135i, but only 3k on a 235i. They have real poor residuals also which make them expensive at the moment.

481 miles yesterday (London > Peterborough > Nantwich > Leeds > London
Mostly motorway but A606 / A50 between P'boro and Stoke. Followed a TVR for a lot of that so had some fun.

Anyway, average 32mpg over the whole day which I thought was pretty good.
