I know, I know. I've not seen anything under £350 tbh - it would need to be a bit more attractive to tempt me out of the car I have now.
You'll get a nicely specced car for £4k deposit and £329 p/month on a pcp.

No it's legit. One of the drivers of the vehicle is on BabyBMW. He also has a m135i himself.

It's an bog standard Auto M135i. It's been to a few shows as well to show off the police's fleet.

Edit: Here's the one

Car in to dealer this morning. Hopefully they can get to the bottom of the chassis warning light issue I've had for a couple of months.
It'd be nice if they can get rid of the rattle too - well, not really rattle, slight tap at fairly random times eg bumpiest uneven road, nothing - smooth road...tap...tao..........................................tap. GRRRRR!

After a fair bit of discussion, I've bit the bullet and with the trade-in of both my 330i and 120d, I've signed up for an M135i. Delivery at the end of October and I can't wait!

I'll part from the 330i remembering it as one of the most frustrating cars I've ever driven. All understeer and with a horrid auto gearbox. It very rarely produced a smile when driving it, only frustration.

The 120D leaves me with much fonder memories of a car that gently went from understeer to oversteer depending on how the throttle was used and could do over 50 mpg cruising at around 75 on the motorway. Many's the time that I stepped out of it thinking it is a phenomenal car for the money.

The M135i will be a revelation though.
All the best with the incoming motor Ben thumbup well chuffed for you and I bet you cant wait to get rid of the 330i/auto combo and I will miss you owning that as I wont have anyone else now who understands what a lousy combo it is like you did.smile

Thanks Lee. You're right, I can't wait to say goodbye to it. I've given up driving it now in favour of our much more fun to drive 120d M-Sport, so it has become my wife's car until her company car turns up next week. Then it will sit on the driveway doing nothing for 3 weeks until we part-exchange it. I feel a bit sorry for it really, BMW gave it a terrible start in life (suspension/diff/auto/electronics) making it a very hard car to love.

Supposedly there will be something coming soon going into Q4. BMW want a slice of the Golf R business.

The best deals will be in December, as every year - purely as its their yearend!!

Thats end of March I think, but they have new plates in March which means they are not that slow.

I don't know that, just what someone on here said when people discussing getting a bargain just before Xmas.

Its definitely December, i have their accounts on the screen in front of me wink

From previous experience of financing into them, most car dealers also have their yearend just after Christmas.

As such, with it being such a quiet time traditionally, the deals available are normally epic.

Circa -20% on BMW last year lo!!

I can't speak for BMW specifically but our year end is March, not December (I work for a dealer group). I have been told also that last quarters BMW deals, whatever they may have been, have carried over to this quarter...

Been offered a built to order 5 door manual, HK, pro media and metallic, 6k down and £254x47. Opinions?

Have you not got any BMW dealers in your group you can get it through Alphadrive? I think they're only £220 no deposit on 18 month leases at the moment.

Unfortunately not (yet), and we're limited to in group only. That is outrageously cheap!

Good luck to them.

I'm really not a big fan of the M135i sideways, it's too much of a handful. The M3 could be gracefully drifted at any speed, at will, for pretty much any amount of time (as have previous cars, such as the 350z).

The M135i combination of huge grip, no diff, a laggy throttle and a short wheelbase make it a challenge, and you really have to unsettle the car to get things moving.

I really really want to try one with a diff.
This is interesting. I'm rather partial to the odd slide and loved the E46 M3 for that, although that was on Contis, which always felt like they lacked the grip of the PS2s. I'm able to slide my 120d though, so I have high expectations for the M135i. Depending on how it feels, I may one day get a Quaife fitted.

It's certainly possible in the dry, you just have to commit to it in a far higher way than you did in the M3, which makes it too much for the road IMHO.

IF you're getting full on oppo in a 120d in the dry, then you shouldn't have an issue. Let us know how you find it.

I have access to the AlphaDrive scheme. It's cheap but it's not £220 pcm cheap - my scheme is £272 for 18 months with no deposit.

Try one on a long drive first if thats important. I bought my 130i off my best mate who now has an M135i, he says exactly what I felt in the one drive I had in his, that the M135 is noticably quicker and the suspension is way more compliant, but you feel a more detached from what's going on compared to the E87, you dont feel the speed and you dont feel it moving around or communicating as much in the corners. The new car unsurprisingly also has significantly more grip, he's rather fond of smearing rear rubber around any given roundabout but says its much harder/less intuitive to do in the M135 than the 130

Plus, the gearing in the manual is a bit wrong for "roundabout smearing", 1st is too much, and second is too long, so unless it's a particularly large roundabout you're a whole world of lag away from any meaningful power.

I'll admit, the ZF8 would be the better choice.
