Appreciate that you appear to be doing 2k/month or 24k/year, but what's it costing to swap into a 430d? Nice machine though it may be.

Surely the man-maths that got you into an M235i can't also be justifying the fuel saving (over that mileage) vs the cost to change..?

Just askin' shootbandit

You have got to be kidding me. As if I needed anymore incentive to buy one of these... currently in a 2.0T and driving genuinely as gently as you could imagine returns 35 ish, 29 day to day frown

Recent quote I got:
3dr
Auto
Met paint
Driver comfort pack PDC F&R + Cruise
Sun protection
Pro Nav

List price £35725 less £5858 discount
Deposit £2000 then either 35 x £422.41 plus GFV of £16269
Or 47 x £382.45 and GFV of £13929
Or Deposit of £3500 then either 35 x £376.40 and GFV of £16269
Or 47 x £347.39 and GFV of £13929.
APR 4.9%

With 6k in , I reckon the monthlies are down to around £240/m
So decent discounts are still there even if the lease deals have gone.
Similar spec, I got just over £6k off.

Auto, met paint, electric memory seats, driver comfort pack, bmw nav, adaptive m suspension and heated seats. £4k, £342 p/m.

That was an easy run and the engine was warm on start, but yes, get one. I'm seeing about 29 day to day, and will easily see over 35 on a long drive.

Ours is on 10,500 miles now, so we're doing comfortably more miles than the basic lease allows, but ppm is low so no big deal.

Trip hasn't been reset for 6k miles and is currently sitting at 32.8 mpg. It'll easily do 40mpg+ if you sit at 40-60 mph and take it easy.

Downside is we've been having issues with the fans cutting in, making a horrendous noise, and it going into some variation of limp mode where nothing happens below 4k rpm in 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Gonna get it in to get looked at. frown

Fairly common issue, it happened to mine 3 weeks after picking it up, I was without mine for about 20 days, bonus I was loaned a fully specced brand new f10 520d, but not until I'd had to drive a x1 and 118d frown

TBH i've heard the fans kicking in before. It has done it regularly for ages. Normally when i've finished getting through traffic to the office, so i've put it down to an overly enthusiastic temp sensor. No gauge so can't tell (!!).

Today is the first time i've really noticed the lack of throttle.

Got baby arriving at some point in the next couple of days so it'll have to wait a week or two.

Did yours get sorted?

You may have had the issue all along then, and as you say put it down to traffic etc, mine kicked in at about 11:30pm on the way home from a friends, turned it off and on again and it was fine!

Mine was sorted 1st time round, and to be fair to the dealership, they diagnosed the issue almost immediately, it was the aftermath of crap cars they provided until I complained to BMW UK!

Touch wood it'll be fine, but a couple over on babybmw have had the issue a couple of times, and new fans a few times as well!

Bloody hell Dave, didn't realise! Mine did it once (after I had replaced the exhaust for one without any baffles eek) which worried me a bit but it has been fine since!

Did you say the car made your knee or leg ache? I noticed my knee hurt earlier but its probably been caused by something else.

Edit: Mine feels slow too, but thought it was the exhaust! I've always found the brakes not that great/spongy!

The two on the wings did when I first got it and to be honest I've been meaning to see what it looks like with just '135i' on the boot in the odd font, will try it tomorrow.

A bit off topic but does anyone know if I can transfer my Contract hire to some else as I don't need my 135 anymore? I don't fancy paying 50% of the remaining payments to end it as I'd rather keep it.

it's a white/red leather 3 door manual with speaker and driver display upgrade. April this year so has the nice new steering wheel.

Pretty basic but very cheap.

I'm not sure if you can transfer it though.

There are websites where you can sell on your lease for the remaining period.
