My M135i is due to go back in two weeks and I will be sorry to see it go. Debated buying it, could get it for around £20,000. Not bad, but not cheap enough for it to be a no brainer

Anyway I have a small dent in the door when some idiot opened their car door onto it. Very small crease about 6cm long. No paint damage. According to wear and tear it needs fixing but not got round to it

If you have had yours collected how thorough were they with the checks? If they give it the green light upon collection am I in the clear? If the do charge how expensive is it vs getting it repaired myself? Car is perfect in all other ways

Worst mpg on track - 7mpg for tank
Best mpg on long run at 80ish - 37mpg

Real average 31.5mpg which I think is great as I drive it hard. Mostly long runs though. Still on original tyres including one track day and two ring trips

Auto, nav, HK and few other things

What will you replace it with? Do you have any want to go to with a full-fat M car or will you look for something similar to the M135i?

My PCP is up in May so I've decided to go down a similar route. I've ordered a new 340i and with the discounts on offer it's going to cost about the same as I paid for the 135i. I'd have liked an M3/M5 but I can't be bothered with all the cost, security and attention that goes with them, and while I like cars and I don't like them that much. And anyway if I used one to anywhere near its full potential I'd get a ban.

I thought long and hard about the chnage - keep the 135 for a couple of years or buy new again? In the end vanity prevailed to a certain extent, and the lure of shiny new metal proved too much, although using the car to cary three full grown adults around was a factor as well (not that the 135 was bad for that, just that the 340 should be better). The 340 will cost me almost the same as I paid for the 135.

Come trade in, I found with enough shopping around one dealer was prepared to actually look at the spec and offer above book to the tune of £1500. My car has auto + prof media (and a few other things which as I expected didn't count for much). My p/ex was £19.5k for a 3 year old car with 16k on the clock. With the benefit of hindsight if I'd waited another 3/4 months the new discount on the 135 would have been better - I got 9%, I could have got 20%.

No track days I'm afraid. Worst mpg 27, best 35 (I'm amazed at 38 with an average of 80 TBH, mine was more like 31/32 at those speeds)

In conclusion, it's been the best car I've ever had, I really liked the auto box and the two cars in one (cruiser / hot hatch), reliable and cheap to run. Anything I'd critise? I'm struggling with this, the boot is a little small maybe - but it's not a big car and it was always big enough.

No. Mine went back last week ( frown ). It was briefly inspected by the driver, who worked for BCA. I've since had leaseplan contact me due to them not locating the book pack etc having now done their own inspection.

On the day he just checked tyre tread, mats present, mileage etc. The car was pretty dirty inside and out tbh due to recent weather so checking chips and dents wouldn't have been easy.

I would personally get it fixed yourself. The driver told me they charge a few hundred per wheel for a refurb despite them having a contract in place which costs them £39/wheel eek

Just a quick one; I've had my car for about 18 months now.

It's been faultless over the last 13,000 miles, but I do get the sense it's ready for some new tyres.

Are there any recommendations?

I'm off skiing in a couple of weeks' time and driving to the alps from Manchester, so I'd rather get them done before I go rather than on my return.

MPSS for normal driving in the UK but winters more appropriate in the Alps?!

I've just ticked past 30,000 miles on my original tyres. Yes they now need changing, but are you sure it's not just the time of year making you think that? Mine are MPSS.

Thanks for the heads up - will look into the MPSS's.

Had thought of Winters, but pretty reluctant to buy a set when I need new summers anyway. Impending house purchase and work trip to New York means that I can only really justify one set of new tyres at the moment.

Plus we're going with the OH's family; they've been to the same resort in any number of BMW's over the last 10 years or so on summers with no issue so I think I'll talk my chance.

I don't know what I am going to buy. Been to look at M3/M4s but can't stomach the depreciation. Will cost me twice the M135i, and that's serious money

I am fortunate that I have a CSL too. I will probably run that a little more to get my fast fix and may run an XF S that a family member is selling soon.

Got a guy coming to fix the dent. Reckons it will be about £70. Easier just to get it done

The wear on the MPSS is amazing. They seem to have stopped wearing! On 19k now and good tread left

The 38mpg to be fair was probably at 70-80, what I would call a leisurely drive In a car with that much poke. It rarely dropped below 30mpg, and the computer on mine was almost bang on accurate

I have just handed mine back 3 months early - the guy from BCA was pretty thorough with his checks, think he had a checklist of things he needed to go through. In the end he said it was in pristine condition and said he could see no damage whatsoever. He did mention a second check was done by leaseplan.

Going to miss the car - definitely the best I have had. It's being replaced with an Audi 1.4 Sport - it was the best lease deal I could find that would be delivered in time. Saving £100 a month so not all bad. Will look for a fast hatch replacement in 2 years time after the Audi goes back.

Exactly the same as me! Not really looking forward to the 1.4 manual A4 to be honest but I guess it might be a nice place to sit for a while. frown

Durham to Edinburgh today - 150 miles at steady pace, got just over 40mpg, that's about my best on a decent run smile

Tried eco pro briefly - does it actually do anything useful? Just seemed to change the throttle response a bit (ie you get nothing unless you floor it).

I thought about the A4 deal but knew I would end up finding it so dull. If it was a pokey auto For a little more dosh i would have been tempted. Cracking deal though

Might go cheap for a year then get an M2. Will be nice having no ties car wise for a bit!

Off topic, but given my leased M135i sat parked Monday-Friday while my wife drove her 15 year old E46 to work we took the plunge with a cheap........ Citron C4 Cactus deal for 18 months so she can have the 'new car' thing for a bit. £130pm, all in (1+17) for 18 months. Can't really complain!
