Sad times It's looking all clean and pretty too!
What are you replacing it with?
Every cloud
This seemed like a good idea while I still had the 135i, but after 2 weeks I'm not sure how much longer I'll manage to keep driving round in my current steed...
Snowman23 -
Phateuk - Look at is as an investment. A good e46 won't lose money now, assuming you keep it in good condition. I actually made £2k on my old e46, and I owned it nearly 2 years and added 8k miles!
My M135i just drove off. I had one last drive, and it was epic.
And as for those of you getting 25k out of a set of MPSS tyres... my rears were on 1.6 after 15,000 :|

I'll be returning my leased M135i in the middle of April when my 2 year lease is up.
I've only done 9,000 miles out of the 20,000 allowance set by the leasing company.
The car indicates 8,000 miles until a service is required on start-up and the text on the dash has turned yellow today to helpfully remind me to book it a service presumably as it's approaching 2 years since it was manufactured. I presume that text is going to turn red at the start of April.
I'll be handing the car back when it's been on the road for exactly 2 years, but should I be arranging for it to be serviced beforehand?
Has anyone here returned an M135i without putting it through the 2 year service? Were the leasing company OK with it?

Just hand it back a month early, then you wont have to get it serviced!I've only done 9,000 miles out of the 20,000 allowance set by the leasing company.

Out of interest, have they given you a quote to buy the car instead of returning it? If you're so under mileage, you might be able to turn a quick profit.I've only done 9,000 miles out of the 20,000 allowance set by the leasing company.

Yeah, I did ask for a quote to buy it outright last month, it's a blue base spec, 3 door manual with no extras, they didn't ask for mileage and I was quoted £20,500.Then the local BMW dealer quoted me £18,000 trade in value for it.
There's a chap trying to sell a fully loaded automatic 5 door with similar mileage near me for not a lot more So in my opinion there's no profit to be made.

Interesting. When you say 'base spec' has it literally nothing? Not even Nav?Then the local BMW dealer quoted me £18,000 trade in value for it.

Cheers, I've asked how much it'll cost me to hand it back a month early.I was charged 1 months lease for a 1 month early handback, so I essentially lost a months use.
However it meant I avoided a service, putting new rear tyres on, and I already bought the replacement so I didn't have to insure two cars for two months.

I thought it was all digital now? No physical book.
Good. They're asking for both the service book and proof it's been serviced. It went back 2 months under and 5000 miles under the service alert, so they can sod off! When I told the guy it was on the key he said he knew that but couldn't find any invoice (I put that in the book pack) and wanted to know where it was serviced. They then phoned up the garage to confirm it was serviced. Very strange.
Mine goes today. Ended up on 19767 miles
31.15mpg
£10100 lease cost (high spec)
£187 for service plus one litre of oil when I was in Germany
£600 for two years insurance
£3326 of fuel cost @ 17ppm
£0 on tyres, still 3-4mm left amazingly
Cars been great but ready for It to go. Got a C1 to run about in which is on a stupidly cheap lease, then will something more tasty in next few months.
