Is does look good, but that is for a poverty spec M135i with no options..
When I was looking at getting one last year they said for every 1k I added to deposit would bring the monthly down circa £40 I would assume then that every 1k of options would increase the monthly repayment the same. What options do you really need I have a 116d with no options it has aircon Bluetooth only options I would get on an m135 would be heated seats and an auto box
Hi all - just joined the forum and looking to buy a new M135i - ideally reasonably well spec'd. I was originally looking at a 3-4 year old M3 but with the deal currently running on the 1 series it seems mad not to go for it! I see that a few people have been getting 14-19% off the list price, just wondering is anyone is willing to share where those dealers were? The one I've spoken to so far is adamant that can't be done (of course they always say that to start with....) don't think PM works for the first 24 hours after joining forum, so if anyone is happy to email me with which dealers were willing to give a good deal that would be much appreciated - bentipney@yahoo.co.uk
Many thanks!
Ps - as a point of interest, does anyone have a comparison in terms of ownership between the M135i and a circa 2009 M3? I've test driven both but of course that doesn't really tell you what they'll be like to live with day to day. I'll be doing about 10-12k per year, mixture of town/A-road/motorway drives with a few longer trips each year (Wales/lake district etc). Part of me is wondering about looking at a slightly used 330d or even the 635d for the cruising element. Any advice/feedback welcome!
Many thanks!

Well, I collect a white one tomorrow. Sun pack, reverse cameras, enhanced phone thingy(!) lighting package, auto, heated seats, better speakers and 5yrs servicing for £500. This is £338/month with £5500 down, over 36 months.
Hi Robert, that sounds like a very good deal - out of interest what is the full OTR cost you're getting compared to RRP for that spec? Many thanks for the emails and pm's so far - very helpful!

Well put it this way, I bought mine from Coopers/Norwich and they are currently shifting M Sport 3 series at little over cost, by end of September to get large bonus payments from BMW. The 135 I bought had just arrived there, not yet prepped to be their demonstrator. I got 5yrs servicing at 10000 miles/yr, for £500 instead of £800, auto guard treatment inside and out and Return To Invoice insurance, alloy wheel damage and tyre insurance for 3years, all for £700. The baloon, plus the interest on the payments and the payments themselves, still add up to less than the retail cost at the original price.
Was it the absolute best deal? No, it wasn`t. Was it acceptable and affordable to me, Yes.
I`ve now driven it for 250miles and it is amazing! Quiet, smooth comfortable when pottering about, yet missile quick with lightening gear-changes when required(!)

Slight o/t, but whats the difference between the 135i M-Sport, and a M135? Can you get the M135 as the coupe style one? or is it for the new hatchback jobby?
The 135i M-sport is the coupe version of the old model 1-series. The coupe equivalent of the current M135i hatchback is the M235i which I think is due to go on sale early next year.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
