No idea, sorry. It's just a 1 series with an N55 engine.

That sounds great max, thanks for posting!

Now, do I have the balls to do this to a lease car... wink

Sounds great! I did the OEM exhaust mod to my M3 and loved that.

did you have to cut the exhaust off to do the mod? Also it looks better with the shiny tips - where did you get those?

The tips are from a 435i M-Sport, the exhaust does need removing to do the mod. The box I chopped up was one from ebay, I have the standard one to go back on.

Did you order the tips from BMW?

Did you have to cut the exhaust to remove it?

Thanks!

Not long back from putting 1500 miles on the M135i over Christmas. Was a lot less cramped than previous years in the MINI when fully laden with presents and a cat. It's also been a complete hoot to drive since the temperature has dropped and the roads have been greasy, although the small amount of snow we saw didn't go down so well without the traction control disabled.

Looks like I might have to make my first trip to the dealership since collection 8000 miles ago, the buttons on the headunit are starting to crack:

Looks like a scratch to me that's took the black finish off, exposing the light

It's a crack, reasonably common problem:

Remember they are very useful as shortcut buttons (phone home etc)

Is anybody having an issue with discomfort from the driver's seat? There's a point where the two rear panels join with the large front panel which is raised up and hard due to the seams in the leather - this is directly where my tailbone rests so not pleasant! I'm actually thinking of taking it to an upholsterer to add padding or something as I'm not keen on having a sore arse when driving (or at any other time for that matter eek)

Any (sensible!) suggestions?

TIA smile

Tried a bit of leather softner on the seat tonight but I think the basic issue is a lack of padding - definitely looks flaccid compared to the passenger seat. Think I have any grounds to try and get BMW to fix it or just stump up to have an upholsterer sort it ?

Almost had mine for a year now. How time flies!

Great car.

Has anyone got near to the end of their lease yet? If so, what kind of purchase price are leaseplan offering? Trade? Retail? Somewhere in the middle?

Starting to plan for 12 months time when the lease ends. The Mrs wants to keep it as she loves it. I'm not so sure. Depends on the price.

One thing is for sure, it will have more than 20k miles on it by then. It's at 11k already. ppm is low so it kind of makes sense to put more miles on it rather than using another vehicle, and it will need tyres at some point before 20k so i'll want to get the mileage out of them.

So far nothing gone wrong with it. The fan sometimes goes bananas, but not very often and switching it off/on fixes it.

I'd get the fan fixed, mine was gutless when it had that problem. Is yours still pulling from 1.5-2k revs or not?

checked the buttons but no cracks. I guess that is because after 10 months today was the first time I pressed one of the buttons. smile

Yeah had it two or three times when it sounds like a road sweeper and goes into a weird uber-eco-pro style hardly any throttle response mode. Not done it for ages. Might get it in but can't be arsed with the hassle given how it's so easily solved.
