How come you didn't collect this past weekend?

Def up the coming weekend and following days for a family funeral. Enjoy the car, get it over on the Holmfirth to Glossop round for some great riving and scenery!

Garage dragging their heels on 'prepping'confusedapparently due to Easter but the main reason was DVLA hadn't confirmed the number plate change from cherished to original so i couldn't buy an insurance policy only get a quote.Still that's given me 3 weeks to worry about whether i've bought a good one or not.
So roll on Saturday..............never looked forward to a train ride so much.

Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Been up twice in my e39 525, once to see the other one that the same garage had in stock and again to see the one i'm actually buying that came in a week later.Looking forward to the drive home though.

Blimey, Swindon here and driving up north on Saturday but not sure on times as we are heading up for a funeral!

OR stick dsc off and floor it, should be terrifying. Probably not the most scientific maf test but reasonably reliable.

Well in a word NO. When i first went to see it the engine management light was on and it was agreed that it would be fixed it before i took it away. Turns out that the fix wasn't as straight forward as hoped and 3 solenoids were faulty apparently. I'm waiting to hear from the garage at the moment. Bit worrying really.eek

This is your point to withdraw your deposit and go elsewhere.

It could be a likely fix if its the VANOS they can be serviced but they have messed you around for a few weeks which says they are exploring the cheapest avenue to fix rather than sorting it properly. Walk

Yes, i think this is going to get messy.Last time i go to a second hand car dealer 2 hours from home. Great isn't it,i've been after an M5 for ages and i choose one from someone like this. They had some other decent cars too Bentley,Porsche that kind of thing. furious

thinking back it might actually be worth giving them a try, you'll have SOGA to fall back on along with a likely fairly worthless warranty but something still better than nothing. Alternately look on here or the m5 forums until a well known well cared for example turns up.

Good luck though

Sorry to hear about the problems that you are having...

It sounds like a right messy situation and makes you wonder what else could be wrong. Perhaps take a refund while you can and get one from an actual owner who knows their car inside out...

I'd walk. Isn't it the same dealer that's selling one that needs rod bearings?
