Marks and Spencer's magazine said you can fit more boxes of wine in an M135i too.

Shame about the picture quality and lack of Individual audio otherwise I'd be seriously tempted :

It's called HK and many rate the Advanced as better. We have the latter and it's very good indeed; HK struggles at low volumes but is decent at the top end. Brave colour but that is priced too high.

BUT....I believe the the M235i will have a proper diff, which means it should at least be an option on future M135i's. And I believe BMW are going to offer a BMW Performance retrofit. So not all is lost, although I reckon the Birds option will always be better value option than any BMW retrofit.
Ah but typically like everything in BMW's world - the retrofit (M-lite) diff is not a full locking one unlike the M division ones - the M-Lite diff locks to 40% IIRC whereas the full fat one locks 100%. It'll probably not make that much difference in the real world but at least that'll provide some ammo for some. smile

Not sure where you heard that but I noticed some say the HK in not worth the extra £300 over the BMW upgrade but still suggest the HK as better overall. I've heard both and the HK certainly had the edge. Both are good systems fwiw.

Several people on babybmw (three of which can afford anything!). I also listened to HK myself and I'm convinced mine is better at low volumes. HK has more power though so if you like your music loud, get it. I also just don't like HK as a brand.

I have the HK in my M3 but there's one more option on top of it called the "Individual". Agree about the price though.

Listened to the Advanced and H/K in the E93 and I personally prefer the HK more. It performs better in more variety of music tested.

Depends on tastes TBH; I've always been keen on decent car audio and done a few custom installs (I also sound check a few bands; my dad was a pro bass player so gained an ear for good sound); in this case I didn't think the extra money was worth it. And this may sound odd but I was keen not to add options that add significant weight.

Weird that the ones that are genuine are wonky but the ones that are fake, are straight.

Not certain, if it was a 318 it would have more M badges stuck over the interior

It's a CSL, which had the purist option of aircon and stereo deletion...

That explains it then, but not sure how the active sound design works with no stereo

The csl must sound sh*t then without any engine enhancement.
