After the airbox, it's the best piece on it. Have you driven one?

I always say it's not about how fast you go, but how you get there. I have a manual 360 spider and I'm confident that I will be quicker point to point in the M135i.

The M135 isn't an M car as per BMW, but quite a lot of M car owners past and present have them and rate them highly so I see no reason why there shouldn't be threads about them in the M section.
It boils down to this. Nobody is saying that the M135i is a full M car. It is a Mxxxx car. The fact that this is upsetting so many people is pathetic.

It doesn't mention anywhere on this sub-forum that only 'proper' M cars can be discussed here. Anything with ///M in the name is fair game in my opinion. I have not driven the M135i or any M car so I cannot make a judgement myself. However, many people who have driven several have said that it is much closer to a full M car than the standard hatchback.

If you don't like the M135i threads in the M Power section just ignore them and move on. Life really is too short...

It reminds me about people arguing that the 246 Dino is not a proper Ferrari. Who cares really?

Some people like to think they belong to an exclusive club, they see the likes of the M135i as gate crashing their private party.

Well, we aren't leaving till the parties over so get used to it! :-)

M 135i is still not an M car..............100% not an M car. It doesn't even know where Garching is.
So what makes a 100% M car then?
Dunno, i was bouncing off the limiter at 7k revs today comfortably sideways aided by the LSD. laughing at the same time. Friend of mine gave me a go of his M135i, same laugh, same enjoyment. Its about the ability to feel the car underneath you, read it. Be it a 'proper' M or not, its about fun. And letting the average bloke accessing that fun.

Be they Turbo or N/A, i don't care, just gimme it, instead of some 4 cylinder stbox that sends me to sleep.

The original M3's was only at 7,300 wasn't it? Not exactly a million miles away from your 'not an M car' one.
