Not good news this morning.

Tool to tighten suspension is broken and I'm without a car for another day or so.

I've now made an official complaint to BMW, the car has been off the road for more than 2 weeks since I delivery, I've traveled in excess of 400 miles getting it to and from the dealers for warranty work. I would like additional mileage added to my contract and two weeks monthly contract payment figures in my account.

Not Vines fault and they have been superb but I'm somewhat irritated now............

Further update - Vines have got a 530d F10 I can use until mine is fixed (hopefully tomorrow)

Could be worse.

Not bothering to start a thread yet, but how do everyones gear shift paddles sound?

Strange question but the right side is silent and the left makes a click/clack when you pull it.

Not the biggest problem but mildly irritating wink

I'm too busy hanging on to notice wink

Mine are firm but make no noise.

And the paddles are very similar before I get a funny reply.

Just picked up the F10 530D and it's morphed into a new black F10 M5.

Seems Vines have lent me their new M5 until mine is fixed.

Result and thanks very much Sam thumbup

Perhaps I've got a Friday car?

Anyway, this isn't too shabby and the colour looks good albeit difficult to maintain and keep clean if like my previous dark cars

Cheers, might take it in, just sounds a bit cheap changing down.

I really had to hang on today, a bit too quick over a (well sighted) bump and all 4 wheels airborne!

Yeehaa hehe

I can report that the F10 flies level and lands softer than a Ryanair 737 lol.

Amazing how much air you get at 30mph over a speed hump wink

Driver's side rattle as well in the door card. Was supposed to be fixed at service and it's at it again!

Apart from that - amazing car. The only word I use to describe it is - brutal.

Having said that, it's one of the most comfortable cars I have ever owned.

My speed limiter doesnt work at 155, its actually 170 but not really a warranty issue
Speeder limiters on M cars work at 163 mph (260kph) not 155 mph, so 170 will be about right allowing for speedo error

Drivetrain error message on 3 occasions
after appearing to lose 1 or 2 cylinders.

Been into BMW once and could not find a problem.

Also had it cut out pulling onto an islandfrown and cut out after pulling away from a petrol pump. Re- started with no fault code.

Will post when problem is found.

Ours loses audio occasionally. It usually comes on 5-10 mins after setting off. When the audio dies it also takes out the synthetic exhaust note too, car is eerily quiet without it !

Yep, it was from Vines Crawley yes

Lovely car and very nicely spec'd. Having got mine back the only comment I have it appears dull against my Silverstone II/Sakhir which just seems to lift the car.

Got mine back now however I am in negotiations with the DP to compensate me for the number of visits/fuel/time etc. spent having mine fixed.

I'll report back but it's looking positive so far.

Isn't that the DAB audio cutting out? I've given up on it as it drives me mad!

Cant see why that would cut the exhaust note out though as it works when the radios off. Do you mean all audio media off?

No doubt i've seen your car parked up at some point as I walk past Vines everyday.

Good luck!

My first (early build) F13 M6 did similar and it bothered me too - I like both paddles to feel the same. Whilst nothing has broken, these are not cheap cars so I'd get them both replaced under warranty.

I always wondered why all M cars seem to top out at an indicated 169-170 yet non-M cars are always at 160-161. Makes sense now, and accounts for similar over-read variances. Is this an actual fact then as it would indicate M's are capped at 260kph rather than the usual 250?

Yeah I mean all audio, its a fault with the system. Happens whether radio or CD is playing
