ESS Tuning Supercharger Kit
Discussion
Hi All
I'm taking the ESS kit off my car and going down the turbo route for massive power. I've sold the charger kit already but only with the standard VT2-550 setup.
That leaves me with the 8-rib pulley setup which was supplied by ESS for running 16psi boost on which I made 640hp @ fly.
I'm also going down the Motec management route now so have my standard E46 M3 ECU which is mapped for the above and supplied with both the ESS tuning software and lead and an Evolve R lead and software (car was running Evolve map).
It's not the sort of thing that will list well on eBay because it's so unique, so was posting here in the hope there might be some current ESS equipment owners here looking for an upgrade path?
The pulleys, mapping and software cost me thousands, but hope they can make a reasonable cost upgrade for someone. All the other hardware from the VT2-500 and 550 kits are the same, intercooler, injector, etc. Just a case of changing pulleys, belt and ECU!
Cheers

Hi Guys - what I am selling is the 8-rib pulleys for the crank, alternator, power steering pump and water pump along with the larger guide bearings all as pictured here. Also 5 Goodyear 8-rib Gatorback drive belts to go with them.
My ECU is also available with tune by Evolve which achieved 640hp @ fly on pump fuel with this setup. There is also the Evolve-R tuning cable and software should you wish to have evolve carry out any tuning alterations. This could either be done at their place in Luton, or you could use your local dyno and send them the logged data/graph and they with modify and e-mail a new file which you can upload and re-run, etc.
Equally you may decide that you just want the pulleys and that you will sort re-mapping of your existing ECU, perhaps even with ESS tuning who originally sold the kits and these upgrade pulleys.
Temperature wise I've not had any problems on track (car is a dedicated track car) but I do run the following other upgrades:
PWR Radiator
Geoff Steel Oil Cooler
AEM Water/Meth Injection
CA Automotive Oil Diverter Valve
Water temperature out on track averages around 105degC and oil around 115-120degC when pushed hard.
