Car is in storage and so I haven't been able to check. However looking at the build sheet of that black f reg car it seems that ak05 cars are the baisis of jap spec cars (with option code 801). BIt this car is also showin 158 kw. I ran a few adjacent vins through the decoder. These too show the same output..

and the number plates removed for the pictures in the adverts you know there is something being hidden or a story to the car.

To drop £5k plus the £ depreciation against every currency it's a significant amount cheaper hmm. Time to get out/cash in

In general in this market, it seems to me that a car will plateau, due to its original price, desirabllty, and supply and demand!
Saying that though, Mk1 Escorts are still on the rise, with you needing 40k+ for the best RS2000's!
I would agree with that, Mk1 Escorts in sporting variants are mental.....Some stuff is dropping, the ultra low mileage collector stuff will stay high, the cars below that will drop IMOSaying that though, Mk1 Escorts are still on the rise, with you needing 40k+ for the best RS2000's!

So with a £ notably cheaper it really isn't driving up prices perhaps this is a very strong indicator that the bubble is long past its peak.

The £ has very little bearing as the majority of sales will be UK sellers to buyers. Currency won't come into it. To drop £5k plus the £ depreciation against every currency it's a significant amount cheaper hmm. Time to get out/cash in
It can be beneficial to buyers coming in from abroad but once sellers get the £ value they want the currency drop has no bearing to them. People are still on the fence which way the currency is going and it has only been a matter of weeks, need to give it some time before demand from overseas buyers comes into play, if at all. Maybe some are waiting for more drops of currency....
It seems a bottom/base price of £35K is in play,
may need to look at a few to find a good car at that price. This one seems to have super low miles, anything out of the ordinary with it? Not sure if it has been discussed on here before.

Advertometer says a Jap car, although no viscous fan. I think it would look a lot nicer without the rear plate reflector, tints, dtm rear box, cone filter, red leads and strut brace. Those wheels were designed for the car I believe but I would think it would look better on the originals. I'm too hungover to think about the seats. Blimey I sound a right miserable git !

I think their was an age rule in place in the US which meant importing cars not originally sold in the US was a pain, but believe the age of M3s is such that its no longer a problem, as more an more Evo spec cars have gone to the US, so exchange rates might appeal on these cars more so.
Probably easier just to find a nice rust free US spec car if in the US and do a dogleg box conversion if you want a more Euro spec car.
