Agreed, the tin top is a motorsport homologation special, the Cabrio a marketing special. laugh

Cars looking great now.

mine or yours in the background Mark ? Joe has had this since 3rd May so can't wait to get it back but dreading the bill. He's now doing stuff I didn't ask him to do but it looks so good I can't bring myself to stop him !!👍🏻

Yours!

I think the problem is, when fitting up a newly restored/painted shell, it shows just how bad things have got in other areas. Things like corroded fuel lines, split rubbers & broken clips look so much worse and they'd be a false economy. I'll try and grab some more photos but the underside of your car now looks factory fresh. We did a few numbers in our head and you're still ahead when you add resto costs and purchase price and subtract from market value. You now have a totally pristine Evo E30 M3 that's worth every penny. I hope you don't sell but, if you do, it's not going to be around for long!

Saw a video of that. Did it actually sell or where they 'bids from the wall?'

Its on website as sold, but not sure...car was advertised a few months ago for £8995, so if its correct someone somewhere has rung the bell.

If that's what they are achieving I think it might be time to cash mine in confused

This low mileage Alpina did rather well in Arizona.

There was lots of suspicion on e30zone FB page but there's also a fair few people who don't seem to like the idea of e30's making decent money. I seem to recall it was the same with M3's and got emails telling me I was mad when I had the nerve to ask £10k for what was a really nice, rust free car.

If that car sold for £18k then these cars should not be hanging around,

but they are.

As an E30 M3 owner since Dec. 2001 I have no issue with any E30 making large money.

In my opinion very expensive for the less desirable Cabrio, but if people are prepared to pay who am I to complain.
Can't believe this has passed 40k with 5 days to go!

Keeping it mate, but had to sell my Cayman R to pay off some other commitments which was tough but happy with my decision. Need a new name now though.....😀

Says the middle one is sold.

I agree with your comment on them making good money. biggrin

Still need to remove some modifications from my Hartge H26, but I think it might be time for it to go this year.

If it does go, I can sort my M3.....whistle

I don't think it's a decision you'll regret anytime soon. So if the weather is like today I trust you'll be driving it home? I have to shoot over and see mine shortly, although it's looking somewhat forlorn under an inch of dust, but hopefully my engine won't be too much longer? I'm having to console myself with cleaning up parts in readiness to refit them. The carbon air box has just had a hot shower and I'm about to strip and clean the headlights. So long as I can free off the adjusters anyway.

Back on topic, I see that cabrio in Spain has been relisted. Were it mine, I would sort that bit of damage and get it back here to the UK. People said I was mad to fly to Ireland and buy mine, so there will be limited numbers of people willing to go to Spain!

Unless its been stored in a carcoon. Or been subject to a full acid bath and repair. There is no way on EARTH that any E30 M3 will be "Rust free" My old one was visually rust free. But I knew there were a couple of (5mm) places it was starting to go. It's inevitable in a time when cars weren't galvanised as well as today. And living is Spain might help, but it still rains! It's not Nevada laugh

Hi everyone

I been looking for a e30 m3 for a good while now and always wanted one when I was a kid as I used to see them about and fell in love with it the very first time I saw one when my neighbour baught one and I used to look out my window every morning and used to see it right there. It looked amazing and I said to myself when I grow older I will buy one. And now that I'm older the prices have flew threw the sky which has made it very hard for me to buy. As I have been looking at the cars and the prices of the car I can see that a lot of traders have baught these cars and made a business out of it by rocketing the prices up and they made it hard for us who have a passion for these cars and love these to buy one now and I believe this is really unfair and the cars should be kept within enthusiasts to have these cars and not no traders. I don't understand why people get so happy that the prices are going up and start rocketing the prices. If you really love e30s you will keep them and buy them because you love them and not to make a business of them and if you sell them then give it to a enthusiast who will enjoy and a look after it. I understand rich people can buy them now but there circumstances can change anytime. What goes up always come back down. Gravity always wins. My reason for this is to keep the cars within enthusiasts and not traders. Sell your cars to people who will enjoy them and don't make it hard for people who have a passion to buy them. I spoke to a good few people who are in the same shoes as me and they be knocking on people doors all around the country who have the cars sitting there looking to get one cheap as people are asking ridiculous money.

Thanks for reading and I'm sorry if I offended anyone in any way just had to release what I had to say.

Bugger, the sale of my Cayman R has just fallen through so no money to pay the resto bill ! Looks like Joe might have the car for a while longer.

Re the white one, Silverstone are terrible for low-balling reserves just to get interest - there's a few cars in this auction way under market value.

Probably worth you putting your budget and any preferences re spec and location. If you include mainland Europe in your search you'll have more choice. I found someone a car a while back and he decided he didn't want it as it was the wrong colour!
