Any details / pics on your friends cars? Be interesting to see.
Seen at least 3 project cars sell for £20k+ in past few months so they've done incredibly well.
His got in the body shop at the moment but il ask him for some pics and if his happy for me to post it then I will post it. Also there's another guy who paid 15k for one not long ago but don't want to mention his name and I'm sure his on this thread. If the £15k one is the one I'm thinking is it having an engine swap?POORCARDEALER said:
Not sure why anyone would sell anything but a pile of rubbish for £21.5K, when anything thats half decent is VERY easy to sell at much more money
I could feel abit of jealousy coming from you. Don't hate please. It's a good car which needs a little work and it's not pile of rubbish. Also I'm happy this car didn't get in the hands of a trader who would of put it up for sale on a ridiculous price. E30_m3_ben said:

It's simply that most regular visitors to this thread have seen most of the cars that have come to market in recent months and are well aware of what £20'ish K usually gets you. Looks are also deceiving, as any E30 owner can confirm I'm sure.
Look back a few pages and you'll see a red M3 in Ireland, that was stripped to pretty much all its component parts, yet still made £25k.

Well done fella, if itt's a good car, you've done incredibly well and that's coming from someone who's just spent that much on a light refresh and can still see where another £20k could be spent....!
Look forward to seeing the pics.....

I know there's no hate with you as I can see how you help a lot of people and keep the e30 community together. Look back a few pages and you'll see a red M3 in Ireland, that was stripped to pretty much all its component parts, yet still made £25k.

Showing your pic of the car for 25k that was advertised for a long time aswell but I didn't want that just didn't look right to me. There is two markets. One market is online market where most things is overpriced and asking for ridiculous money and the second market is who you know which is priced good. Not a lot of people put the asking price and some people put a ridiculous amount just to test the waters if they find someone stupid to pay for it and make a fortune off it. I'm a collector and I love collecting cars and I have found a lot of good buys and I see they same cars fetching some serious money. I'm not looking to make a fortune of it as I have other investments which will give me a nice outcome. All the cars I own I will be keeping forever unless circumstances change as you never know what's around the corner. The person who sold me the car knew I'm not a trader and I am a enthusiast who will enjoy the car.
My hobby is collecting cars and I'm always on the hunt collecting old cars in my spare time and do them up slowly, look after them and enjoy them slowly.
I understand the online market and it is crazy the way things are going but I'm happy I didn't pay over 30k and I'm glad I got this for this amount and it's really not that bad.
And I also spoke to a lot of e30 m3 owners who have them parked in the garage for a long time and don't even start them, cover them or drive them and they want them for investments. What investment is it gonna be really if you don't enjoy them and left them rotting away beyond repairable. Are they really gonna be worth anything when a car is fully rotten. Get them out and enjoy them or sell them if you not making use of it. Let someone else enjoy them if you not gonna enjoy them.

Absolutely nuts at that money. I could have bought complete tidy cars for £5K more than this went for. That car needs an absolute ton of money spending on it. If you know the owner, can you tell him I have some magic beans for sale...https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172395769631

You clearly live in some off line parallel universe and have managed to cross over to the online world..will you m3 fit through the portal when you return?Paracetamol said:

Lol. My thoughts too, who would have thought there's plenty of M3's around 20k, just not advertised anywhere, only sold by word of mouth to those in the know! Really??I'm expecting him to offer a special finders service anytime soon, but only for a substantial fee up front. Or maybe even sell you his for a very low price,, again cash up front via Western Union & then he'll bring the car round.
As a valued customer you might be invited to the inner circle where you could assist in getting a fortune out of hostile territory.
Back in the real world, anyone considering the sale of a 1990 registered grey car, please do DM me. Happy to pay disgustingly over the odds for the right car. Can be non-UK. Can be high mileage.
Would also consider a RHD UK 325i Coupe manual M Sport. Must be 1990. Must be Dolphin, Sebring, Nogaro etc.

I know of 3 or 4 M3s that would/could be for sale for £20-25k, but the owners simply don't like the internet and detest dealing with people they don't know even more.
Yes, the cars might need some work, but they are running, complete cars.
I sold one of mine last year, a resto project, and that wasn't advertised anywhere.
Only problem is my mob number was randomly given out to a number people and I get 2 or 3 phone calls a week almost harassing me in to selling.
I've stopped answering and started blocking numbers, but I still get calls on different numbers, so I can see why they wouldn't want to let it be known that they would consider selling their cars.

Can I ask why it has to be 1990 registered?Would also consider a RHD UK 325i Coupe manual M Sport. Must be 1990. Must be Dolphin, Sebring, Nogaro etc.
I only ask as I have '89 and '91 registered cars...
