Interesting, finally someone that owns one speaks. Do you know if yours is a Birds converted car, any pics of the conversion, particularly the brake linkage ?
No, mine is not RHD, there is another currently in my possession. Its alleged to have been a birds conversion, but i doubt it.The brake conversion is just a transfer bar from a RHD e30.

Wasn't Minshaws old car back to being LHD at The Goodwood Members Meeting a few weeks ago?
While I think, does anyone have (or know of a supplier) for an Evo3 rear gurney flap please?

The ebay car didn't sell at £30,400, reserve not met.
I think £30,400 was a very good offer for a RHD car that is far from original and a CAT D. It never fails to amaze me how much people think their far from perfect cars are worth.

I know what you mean, although I must admit I wouldn't sell my far from original car for £30k either. Some project cars have made £25k recently and the cat D could be for something cosmetic. Wow 30k is all the money in the world for that car. I think I would be happy with GBP 40k for my totally rust free, one paint, mint 86 dog leg e30 were I to sell it (not that I am!)I think £30,400 was a very good offer for a RHD car that is far from original and a CAT D. A fella I know has paid a deposit on that £60k black car at Parkway and is coming over from Northern Ireland on Tuesday to see it. Does anyone live in the Mansfield / Nottingham area who'd be willing to give it the once over for him ? He's not short of a bob or two and would happily pay for someone's time?
I've pointed out the modifications, the fact that it's price has been increased by £5k in the last 6 weeks, that strange looking cut off pipe under the bonnet, the corrosion areas to look for and the limited service history but at this price it needs to pretty perfect.

Is that yours?
I had a little scab when I replaced my front screen last year. The rubbers seem to hold moisture in the corners. E21 were far worse though.

Had to get both corners of the scuttle sorted.
Nearly done now.
Thankfully no other rust to speak of anywhere.
Top job by Tom at Lemass Automotive :

Hi M5L, to be fair that doesn't look bad at all, I imagine there aren't any out there that haven't had similar treatment or need it! Mine has been garaged most of its life and needed very similar and I have a spare stamped up scuttle in the loft just in case !
Yes agreed it is fairly minor. Thankfully the rest of the bodywork is very solid indeed.
All done I think now and awaiting a new windscreen and outer seal :

Thanks for the offer buddy but he's now gone ahead with the purchase (used some BMW specialist nearby). Bought for £55k - strong money but very good car I'm told. Should look good next to his E36 Imola Individual, E46 Silverstone and M5 Competition Pack....😀Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
