Do you think this looks cheap then?

That's a genuine sport Evo as far as I can tell. The other one is a 1991 2.3 E30 M3. Feel free to correct me.
I'm not trying to catch you out or anything. I was just wondering why you think the auction house car looks cheap, when it doesn't look hugely different to the SE? I guess aesthetics are all subjective anyway, but have seen several black cars with red trim tape and not just SE.

Car being sold needs to be as original as possible for it begs questions about what else is not.

Doesn't look correct and would perhaps appeal more if they ditched the tape and change what I believe are the wrong seats for the car. To change both is a 20 minute job, so won't impact much on price, but finding the correct seats or re-trimming is a cost if originality matters to you.
Would agree though, the red tape looks cack on a metallic black car.

Red bumper stripe on Diamond Schwarz cars don't look right imo, as DS isn't quite black, more of a very dark metallic grey.

Seat in the auction car are wrong, stitching should run left to right on M3 seats, they're standard E30 leather chairs by the look of them.

M3s aren't the only cars going a bit crazy as far as prices go.

Doesn't look a bad buy for the money, if all is as described.

Looks pretty good, I bought my second one from them and they were very honest about the car and easy to deal with.

Sold for £24,188. Pretty good going for a basic unrestored but clean looking car with just a few obvious detail faults

That JC racing 2.5 is the car that i looked at for a bit - i think its probably one of the best around if thats what you are in the market for, would make a nice B1 SMRC car too with a few additional bits!

I have hankered after an e30 M3 for a long time now, turned down a 14k one a few years ago, it was really really good with a fresh engine rebuild by a specialist, i thought it was too expensive at the time, which it probably was - but the same car now would probably be worth 10k more.

so many chancers in the market, but they are succeded in pushing the price up!

They must have used the wrong picture.

Needs a bit of love but certainly not a bad example.

I test drove this car last July before I bought mine, it was up for £25k then. The car drove really tight and sweet but there was a fair bit more rust than has been admitted... The biggest issue is that it doesn't have any service history, the book was lost years ago apparently.

Wow he must have had zero interest in that for him to drop it over £3000 in the last few weeks.

Might bid a cheeky £15000 cash on it and see if he bites.

Am thinking he does need the cash for his digital adventure which isn't proving cheap. Not worth £92,000.....never have been worth what people ask for them especially in 2014.

Seems a bit optimistic to me too.
