My E36 evo goes ifor full respray today...
Discussion
Mini update, just cos i'm chuffed of how it's shaping up. Got chance to start looking at sill covers today and figured out i had enough clips to do one side...
HEAVILY waxoyled everything behind there and gave the paint a quick clay and colly. So, so glad i decided to do this instead of selling it now.

Did you spray waxoyl on the sills before putting the skirts on?
I sprayed the jacking holes with hammerite, after de rusting, & injected inside the sills, but not between the sills & the skirts, as I figured that might attract dirt & grit: seems to be ok so far (four years on)Ive drenched everything, everywhere with waxoyl. Including me.
It was 1300 for the respray but the car was pretty straight already. I pulled all the trim and sills before painting and am doing the refit myself as i'm a fussy bd.
The job's really nice. I worked in a bodyshop for a long time so i can spot stuff, but it's honestly a very, very nice job. Very even, shiny and well finished.

Mine has a 5p size piece on the rear arch which I am sure can grind out. Was that included in the price?
Estoril blue is a stunning colour. I had a Evo Convertible with black leather in Estoril and it was beautiful. These cars are on the up. Gone have the days of a £3000 E36 M3
Agreed, did a bit of man maths and decided time was right.Estoril blue is a stunning colour. I had a Evo Convertible with black leather in Estoril and it was beautiful. These cars are on the up. Gone have the days of a £3000 E36 M3
Mine had few bits on boot from despoilering and sill stuff but all superficial, it's very solid.

Why you selling so soon?
Must admit I'm having similar feelings. Fancy a V8 in my life and something modern enough that I can use it as a daily.
It's as good as it's going to get and i just dont use it enough. I work a couple of miles from home and own a garage full of motorbikes. The car just isn't necessary.Must admit I'm having similar feelings. Fancy a V8 in my life and something modern enough that I can use it as a daily.
