Hi Guys

Took the plunge and paid a little over the odds for a Mineral White M4

Really excited to pick it up next week but am thinking already about who to turn to for Accessories, Tuning and so on.

I know this may affect the warranty but keen to see what can be done with and without affecting the warranty.

I'll post some pictures up too, also what is a good BMW M4 Owners club? Perhaps the official M one?

Thanks for the answers in advance !

Why did you pay over the odds when there are cars sitting in dealers open to offers!!!

Congratulations on the car, enjoy it! I don’t think it requires a whole lot of tuning but if anything I‘d get an aftermarket exhaust. Since the car is so new you'll probably have to wait a while for the parts to be developed etc.

I asked my local dealership for a quote and got 11% off list price without even trying, they eventually went down to 17%. Seemed quite a lot to me because they quoted 6 months delivery time which suggests the demand is quite high. Not sure what to make of that. It was a dealership in Germany FWIW.

I ordered my car at the start of June for delivery end of July, but it got delayed till September because I specced ceramics. I still got a small discount off though.

Congrats on the new car. When I tested the M4 a month or so ago there was nothing doing on a discount. I won't be getting mine until July 1st next year so will be waiting for a decent discount before I order. If not I'll keep waiting, 17% is a dam good discount on a brand new model I reckon, I doubt you'd get anywhere near that here at the moment.

17%?! wow........ wonder what you could get in UK. That'd make a 60k spec £49,800.

mind you the prices in UK are far cheaper than in Germany or just about anywhere else. I converted the price straight into GBP it still comes out as over £64000 after rebate (but that is I admit that is almost fully optioned)

If demand is quite high and supply limited so limited that you have to wait for 6 months, why would they need to discount so much ? Quite bizarre.

Coast2coast cars are offering £1,600 to £1,700 off the m4, not a huge amount but something at least.

Recently used them when buying an x3, best I was getting from a dealer was a discount of £2,500 coast2coast got me a £4,500 discount, that's even allowing for the fact the demand is such that delivery is not till January.

Cooper TW have money off the 2 M4s in the showroom at the moment under their 'VIP' event but the discounts (£1500 - £3000 ish) I'm sure are there for the asking anyway...

So yeah, discounts clearly possible - it's a regular production model at the end of the day and dealers still want sales.

No need.

Use a broker, as above, and get the discount without having to import.

Must emphasise: caveat emptor at Coopers !!!

Wondered what happened to the 9 month waiting list quoted only 6 weeks ago? wink So glad I didn't buy then at/over list price as I was tempted.

BTW, Autoebid were offering 3.5k off list until a few days ago, now it's just £600. Strange. Maybe their allocation sold out.

Coast2coast deals have changed to the x3 discount has dropped by 2k, I assume it's quarter bonus related.

showroom that have m4's in them at the moment won't be spec'd to everyones needs either under/over spec'd so with little interest they show a small discount to get that out the door and move on to the next one. far better off ordering ur own and waiting the time to be totally happy than buying one with a couple grand off.
