If the right one came up I would pay "big"ish money for one. It's the car I want to be going next.

It's a struggle finding a good one that isn't priced too high though. I've been browsing adverts for a while now, and there's a lot of cars you wouldn't want to touch. Does anyone have any good suggestions on where to look for decent cars in Beglium/Netherlands/France/Germany ?
Most would be lhd though

I expect there are more LHD cars in the UK than RHD cars in Europe (unless of course Brits have taken hem to their Spanish holiday homes) i.e. insignificant numbers.

Just left my evo at iridium in southampton.

Very impressive. Knew every aspect of the car inside out, good attitude for doing things properly and some good ideas for future stuff.

Sean is very good and doesn't charge the earth - I'm 15 mins from Munich Legends but took my E36 to Iridium despite the 1.5hr drive each way.

Aye, i can see why. I've used him by reputation alone and i'm actually happy to leave my car there. For me, that's saying something.

We talked through a few options for future maintenance/improvement too, he's given me some great ideas.

I used Iridium when I was in Southampton for a few months with my z3m. Thought they were brilliant, took it back to get a few jobs that I was going to get around to later done before I left, as I knew I wouldn't be back down anytime soon and haven't found anywhere as good near to home.

Thanks for posting that Alan, yeah their reputation certainly precedes them. Think it's an indicator that i'm starting to realise the e36 is worth something, being prepared to pay a specialist to work on it.

I forgot to mention, but I live in Belgium so I'd need a LHD one. If only there was a pistonheads style classifieds website for Europe.. Good ads are a rarity on mobile.de, let alone good cars.

Another positive review for Iridium from me as well. I used to live in Jersey and took the car over for Sean to work on it… Sadly, mine has now passed from my ownership as I live in London and have 2 other cars I don’t have opportunity to use, as well.

When you look at what they cost to maintain properly, the market for these cars will further stratify into:

1 Cheap cars
2 Cars you want to own…with an associated (and reasonable) premium.

I have said it before and I shall say it again; like for like, my Carrera 3.2 is cheaper to maintain than an E36 Evo. That said, the Evo was well worth looking after; such nice cars (and yes, I miss mine. Lots).

Have you tried Autoscout24 http://www.autoscout24.com/ - I find some on there that don't get onto mobile.de.

Just got my invoice through for the work done at Iridium, clearly laid out, properly done, couple of wee tweaks along the way as goodwill.

Pick her back up tomorrow, looking forward to it. New windscreen and roof/rear quarter respray next week. Nothing wrong with the car, just a couple of blemishes have appeared from the recent full respray.

I have a feeling i shall be using Iridium again.

Well, Just got my car back from Sean at Iridium engineering. Impeccable work, even for a fussy git like me. 10/10, will absolutely be using him from now on. Engineering skill, huge knowledge of working on these cars and positive attitude. Definitely worth every penny.

Worked out a future work/wish list for the car, glad i've found somewhere i can trust taking it smile

You are plugging that company too much and making it too obvious you have a vested interest

No, just my thoughts. Anyway, let's keep the thread on track.

It is on track. It's a thread about how much e36 m3s are now. I own one. Ive started paying a proper garage because they're becoming a more valuable car. Hardly off topic imho.
