Is there any option box that WASN'T ticked? That's got to to be £120k+ specced like that.

Might have to go view........
That "want" from me was before I'd even read the spec, just from looking at the pics! OMG, it has B&O !
Forget "want", it is now "want, want".
If only used cars attracted decent finance deals smile

couldn't see heated rear seats or 4-zone climate..

also a shame they don't do the self-parking thinhamajig on M6 GC's as they do on normal GC's - sure i can parallel park but seems a lot cooler to have the car do it for you!

Just agreed a deal with dealer. £23.5k discount and 0%.

All I need to do now is decide colour and spec, undecided about colour, San Marino blue / Silverstone leather, Black / Silverstone leather or Black with orange leather....

Anyway look forward to my first taste of M Ownership driving

Nice, similar to the Vardy deal then. When will it be delivered?

Would you mind me asking what the figures work out at, deposit and monthly payment, and term? I assume 48 months?

Thanks. Not sure I would want to be tied in to that for 4 years, seems a long time. My neighbour seems to be allowed to get out of his PCP deals with BMW every couple of years, just got into a new X5 by paying an extra £50 a month or something.... don't know how realistic it is to get out early, I guess you have to assume you are in it for 4 years. No problem if you know you are going to have that kind of cash spare I guess.

You can normally change/switch cars half way through the term. On a 0% deal there's no interest to pay so in theory you could take a 48 month term and change at 24 months. That's what I intend to do shortly.

Another option is to cancel the contract at the half way point, again with no added interest to pay on a 0% deal. BMW Finance don't like it but you're legally allowed to do it.

On 4th day of ownership now, even though keeping to running in limits it just seems to press on relentlessly, seems the dampers in comfort mode are set up more compliant than with the M5?

Love the black exterior and black alloys, with the lower roof profile it just looks obscene, like a stealth bomber, can't stop smiling. Car got a lot of attention on trip up to London at the weekend. Am getting winter alloys painted black at dealer to match summer stock wheels. Oh my vanity knows no ends, I've even replaced the dust caps with ones off eBay with little M logos on them.

I went from being passed by a black M6 at speed about 2 w ago which set me off on this path to having a ready built unused new car on my drive.

Disadvantages of having no patience for a new personal spec build and some personal observations for anyone specing up a car at the moment, particularly if moving from a pre LCI F10; will definately miss my M5s comfort access and the M6s stock sports seats, although comfy, don't have the full range of movements as my M5s M multifunction seats and the headrest won't take a rear seat DVD bracket which kids aren't happy with. The stock H/K sound system also seems a step up from the standard system I had on my 2012 M5 so fairly happy with this as well, Christ knows what the bang & olfesen must sound like but the HK sounds great to me. Will never go on track so don't think I'll miss all the hardcore comp pack and ceramics but would have liked the chrome black silencers of the CP.

I got a headline discount of just under 21k off the list price of the car and 0%, but also got discounts thrown in on track star advance purchase/fitment/lifetime subscription, winter alloy set, service pack and tyre/alloy insurance and paintwork protection etc. that took overall discount on total list of all these items to around 24K after totalling them all up. All these "extra" items soon start adding up on the final grand total. No doubt I could have probably pushed harder especially as I now gather my car has been sitting ready built since September but I'm benchmarking against what I paid for my M5 in early 2012 before all the big discounts and 0% deals appeared, am actually paying less for the M6 GCP.

For anyone going for it currently hope you get a great deal,

Well done!
The car looks gorgeous. I have to say the car looks very menacing in black.
I very much had the same experience as you even though I have only had a test drive in one. Hope to own one by the end of the year. The power is stupid relentless. Gorgeous interior and The B&O in the demo I test drove was really out of this world, Maybe got as far as to say its worth the price tag for the option.

Some peice of kit - enjoy it and keep us updated on the ownership.

smile

It's quite easy to change the exhaust tips.

Richard is that likely to be allowed if car has finance on it? I tried to enquire about putting an akrapovic exhaust on my M5 soon after getting it and after several calls to BMW finance and waiting on decision they finally said no as that would invalidate warranty which you had to maintain as a condition of the finance terms on the car. Presume the black chrome tips are BMW stock items so perhaps not as restrictive on the finance terms and conditions?

Please say won't be allowed....must stop spending money.

I can see how they could possibly argue that changing chrome exhaust tips to BMW OEM black chrome tips would invalidate any warranty.

Similarly, if you fitted the BMW M Performance exhaust, which is a re-branded Akrapovic exhaust, that would not invalidate the warranty.

Similar all be it not through them and a little bit sweater. Not sure yet about delivery will find out later when I submit my spec.

Talking of spec interesting what msdes says about missing comfort access I hadn't even considered that as an option as it looked a bit gimmicky to me, unless I am mistaken all it will do is save me getting my key out of my pocket and pressing the button to open the door? is that it or am I missing something?

What sort of prices are they charging for the extras on these deals? Options I'd want like B&O, ceramics, CP ain't cheap if paying full prices

"Comfort access" is just the marketing term used by BMW for the system to lock/unlock the door by touching the handle in a specific place or to start the car when you're inside it using the s/s button. I never used it on any of my cars, the last car that had it for me was my Vauxhall Astra VXR in 2009. Depends if you think you'll use it. Put it like this, I didn't miss it.

So how does that actually work? If you are half way or over you can just pay the interest owed for the remainder of the term and hand the car back? I am looking to get out of my current car now (non BMW), 18 months into a 3 year deal, and am being told that the outstanding payments need to be paid up in full.

Are you sure he's not just leasing for 24 months as BMW sometimes have cracking lease deals on?

Pretty sure, he talked about having "equity" in the car which doesn't seem to be a feature of leases?
