Hi has any body changed the diff in the m3 to a 4.10 if so would you recommend it etc?.

I did the 4.10 conversion and was very pleased with it. I added an ESS supercharger kit later and even with upwards of 500HP, the 4.10 with an SMG was never unpleasant. The only complaint I would have is the slightly increased noise level cruising at 75 MPH or so due to the higher RPM in 6th.

Mine has one, though it had it when I bought it.

Certainly gives it a bit more shove, paces an e92 M3 up to 120 no problems.

If you wouldn't mind can you tell me the total cost involved of doing the conversion??? I'm quite interested in doing this.

Honestly, I don't recall as it was over 2 years ago. However, the ring gear an pinion are made by BMW Motorsport and I had it assembled by Turner Motorsports here in the US (45 min from me). They actually had diffsonline.com build it and ship to me. I want to say it was around $1500, but I'm not certain. Certainly wasn't the cheapest place to have it built though...
