This was my old car, Longintheleg has a great car there, it was serviced with an open cheque book by myself and the original owner who is an avid Ferrari collector! Performance wise i think there is little to touch these once you reach 6k rpm and above 100mph i reckon its quicker than the GTR I've just bought to replace it.
Great cars and a sure fire collectors machine in the future if it's kept in the same way i kept it!

Bugger, I was going to contact you about it but now seems you've sold it to longintheleg... Onwards and upwards.

It does look a cracker.
I went to see the car advertised at Sterling Performance yesterday. Looks nice. Drives nice.

But.

No paperwork
No record of any work (incl clutch)
Shut line on the boot was v wide on one side
Didn't get a good feeling from the vendor, plus he knows and uses Verdi for mechanical work which set some alarm bells ringing.

The search continues

Mine had about 3 inches of paperwork which documented absolutely everything that was done to the car. I looked at loads, there was a large difference between the usual abused ones with little or no paperwork and obvious issues and the mint ones. You really do get what you pay for with them-you can sink 3k into one stright away and it will still need work doing so its' best to sniff out a good one and pay a little over the odds in my view.
The good ones are out there so keep looking!
I agreed with the note about Sterling, they tend to buy dogs, polish them up, take some fancy photos and then knock them out for fairly close to top dollar.

finally, sniff one out with the full leather, it makes such a difference to the ambiance of the interior.

But in their defence they do use some nice shiny wax on the cars smile

picked mine up from the dealers today. they've had it all week. the remote didn't work plus almost time for some service work

oil and pollen filter
brake fluid
replaced the idle valve, don't know why
repaired all the wiring in the tailgate
replace horn.

for some reason the car feels like its got an extra 50 bhp they must have reset or done something else.

I looked at that car and I wasn't happy with quite a few things, first being the chap selling the car who went by the name of Jam.

I'm pretty sure the front and rear had been bumped at some point as the bumper didn't sit straight and neither did the boot.
The interior wasn't in particularly good condition either. I think there were a few other issues that didn't please me so I left it. Did love the Monaco blue paintwork though.

Yup, love the full leather but I've only ever seen it on tourings with the red leather interior. It certainly is common.

Gave her a wash today after returning from Shropshire visiting my brother and his family and it just looks so good. I just wish I could spend some more time pampering her!!

It's by far the best car I've ever owned and in my eyes, the best all rounder out there. LOVE IT.

I may have paid top dollar for her but at the end of the day, you get what you've paid for and the car's definitely been looked after. Very easy, pleasant transaction with Alastair which was great.

I quite fancy one in black (the dark blue was nice).
Don't suppose you've seen any good ones going in your search?

The red interior with black exterior looks awesome.

I looked at a grey touring which was advertised with Vines of Gatwick that was nice but was a little pricey. That was in very good condition indeed and the salesman was a nice chap as well.
Unfortunately it seems very difficult to find a well looked after example at the moment, hence why I decided to stretch the budget a little more.

Are you worried about buying a car without a warranty?

Per chance has anyone ever seen a Touring with the Indianapolis Red interior? I've been searching all over the web and can't find a single picture of one.
