Have bought cars from Wood Bournemouth, they were good.
Westerly Exeter, also found them good.
Dick Lovett Hungerford, very good.
Williams Manchester, good.

and the worst of the worst in my experience.........Snows Portsmouth, they were diabolical, had to threaten small claims court to get work done which wasn't done in teh AUC check.

I use Ocean in Plymouth for AUC servicing/warranty work. Usually have to argue the toss about what is covered but so far have been successful.

Another vote for Kings Lynn. I used them after being treated like a child by Coopers even though Norwich was quite a bit closer.
Yes Norwich is closer to me also, but they could not even fill my E90 M3 Oil correctly, they over-filled it.
Cooper Norwich have been fine for me. Bought my 530 from them and recently got a big goodwill contribution on some work on my Z4, even though it was over 6 years old.

Coopers TW were good for my first 2 cars but then messed me about with adding dodgy items on the invoice and then refusing to refund them all. Problem is, if I hadn't bought my 3rd car from them then I'd be signing their praises so this thread is kind of silly.

I find all dealers not just BMW to be pretty showy and false though. I really don't care about the pretty girls on reception desk or the free coffee and comfy sofas, I just want a good deal.

Bought my M3 from Ocean Plymouth, don't belive it was AUC checked properly, as upon returning home found out a rear suspension strut was cracked. Also coil went after 3 days.
Wollaston Northampton sorted it without fuss or cost though. Now on my second used car from there. F31 328i had an injector go, replaced without issue. No problems with M135i so far (fingers crossed).

Carrs promised me the earth, and could not even match other dealers I only phoned on the off chance.

I've used Dick Lovett Hungerford a few times for the M3, and it is decent service, the last service i was shocked at the £175 extra "pollen filter service" they hadnt told me they were doing as well, but other than that, no complaints.

I used Dick Lovett Swindon in the past too, a few more niggles than hungerford, but still no complaints.

I think it's total pot luck depending on who picks up the phone especially with sales departments. I used to have an excellent relationship with a bloke in the new car sales department at Hexagon who many people utterly hated....especially on the used front. Understood what I wanted ( a straightforward conversation and no game playing ) and as a result of which I bought seven or eight new cars from his over a 15 year period. They have now been bought by Spire and the sales guy I knew has left...phoned them up asking about a new X5 to replace my current one (bought from Hexagon)...when I asked how much the car would be I got a "how much do you want to pay for it" answer. That's the last they'll be hearing from me.

Sandal Wakefield - No problems so far. Saved me a few quid recently by siding on a warranty claim when it could have been argued either way.
The OH used Sandal Wakefield a lot before switching to an independent, purely to save money. She was always happy with them and they'd be my default setting if I could ever afford a new BMW again.

Carrs Bury St Edmunds have not impressed me. Phoned to see if they had an F80 demonstrator, no one got back to me so wife and myself called in about a week later and tested an F82. Loved it and told them so but we need 4 doors. The "salesman" said we would have to place a firm order before he would get an F80 in to look at. End result is we have ordered from Elms Cambridge who have so far been first class

I think BMW JCT600 in Bradford have got to be the worst dealer ever....I've used them many many times simply due to location, and consistently on every occasion they have been a joke to deal with.

Rude/dismissive staff, poor sales guys who know nothing about the cars they are selling....and the service department has the rudest most ignorant 'ladies' working there.

Ive raised their poor service with management, who apologise but nothing will ever change there...

I ended up buying my 740d from Harrogate BMW who were impeccable.

There are 4 within 30 or 40 miles from me. During 12 years of BMW/M ownership i gradually migrated from one, then another, then another, etc.... ultimately, having "used them all up" i was forced to buy a Porsche
