WORST BMW DEALERS

I ended up buying my 740d from Harrogate BMW who were impeccable.
I could not have had a more different experience. They supplied my 320d coupe 4 years ago and I genuinely have never experienced worst service. I was lied to, ripped off (and then lied to when I caught them out), lied to some more and then when I got the car 4/5 months late (after they ordered the wrong spec twice) they had put a G instead of a H on the registration plates. I now use York and they are superb.
Bought an m3 from Cooper Sunderland and were awful throughout the deal and after sales service. Including damaging a rear alloy, putting the wrong grade oil in the boot, in the running in service they didn't change the oil in the manual gearbox as they said it was sealed - it took 2 phone calls and me to find a bmw work instruction online for them to realise and bring it back in.
They also gave my old zed an inspection 2 instead of inspection 1 - I don't mind though as it was free on the service pack
Bmw sytner Leicester have always been excellent for both sales and servicing.

I have good experience of Vines Guildford over 4 cars - always been helpful, knowledgeable and courteous.
I am currently dealing with Cooper Reading who have been very good offering me 100% money back on a car I bought which has had repeated problems - but their central finance dept in Sunderland seem pants at actually refunding the money !! I get the impression the sales staff are very frustrated at the delays ... as I am ! One week so far and waiting to refund £26K. When I last traded a car in they took 3 weeks to pay the money for the trade in to my account.
As I say though sales staff very polite and helpful ... but tied by their accounts being centralised.
