Anyone fitted competition pack springs to M6?
Discussion
I've got H&R Sports Springs on my F10 M5 & the drop is quite pronounced. I think it's 15-20mm front & 20-25mm rear (was defo more than i expected).
They're a fantastic upgrade & although you need to be a little cautious over railway crossings & speed humps etc. they really do enhance the ride & feel, especially when pushing on.
I think they cost about £400 plus fitting.

I have Eibach springs on my 2016 M6GC, works great, about 20mm drop all round
As said, there isn't much (if any) difference between standard and CP anyway, these cars sill have to meet EU minimum ground clearance standards.
No warranty issues even if they ever found out which they wouldn't. Warranty isn't a mythical single entity to be voided in one swoop. Only failures that could be reasonably attributed the mod may be not covered, the springs that went on were exactly the same unmarked black springs that came off. No one could tell the difference.
Remember dealers want/need warranty work, they're not in the business of doing themselves out of it if they can help it.
I don't think BMW wouldn't fit the CP springs for you anyway as it's not an official dealer fit option / accessory.

While H&R springs are an option, I'd prefer to have the BMW comp pack springs if it means preserving my warranty.
I'm not sure your warranty would benefit, as even if you fit CP springs they're non standard parts for your car so will still void the relevant warranty so why not just fit better springs? Purely the fact they're BMW wouldn't make a difference unless you get something in writing. If you had an M6 CP then that of course would be a different matter.Yet to hear of an M5/6 having mechanical issues with the suspension so having a non standard setup is hardly going to cause warranty issues on the engine/drivetrain or electrics in much the same way as putting a non standard exhaust on the car wouldn't.

Should have read this before replying & i wasn't so lucky as my H&R's are bright blue. That said i've still had no issue with any BMW garage the car's visited in them telling me my springs are not standard. As said, there isn't much (if any) difference between standard and CP anyway, these cars sill have to meet EU minimum ground clearance standards.

The 20mm drop looks good. In fact, it looks great but with all the speed bumps in my neck of the woods, I think ground clearance is going to be an issue for me too. I'd also be concerned about the ride quality.
The main reason I was attracted to the comp pack springs is that the drop in height is smaller (12mm and 10mm) and more importantly (from what I've read) the change in ride quality is pretty much imperceptible.

Did anyone on here go ahead with the CP spring change- and have any feedback ? According to BMW blurb the CP dampers and springs are 20% stiffer than stock. Increasing only spring rate by 20% without increasing rebound damping rate might not be ideal..
Incidentally i just got a quote for the Comp pack anti roll bars... amazingly not a complete rip off, and only 90 mins to fit...
Might have to give them a go to see if it helps sharpen up turn in...
Any more thoughts from the forum on partial CP upgrades?

No, not taken the plunge yet.
Neither BMW or a reputable BMW specialist have been able to confirm that the springs are a retrofit.
Apparently, the dampers from the comp pack have a different part number from the standard car so it's been difficult to find out whether the spring can be fitted to the standard dampers.
