Thanks!

Another week or so to wait for mine.

That colour really highlights the massive rear arches. Look so good.

Had a chance to drive it yet?

I'd like to call it silver, but it's really a silver/grey -

Really pleased with the colour.

I've actually only driven about 20 miles.
Trying to set everything up and it's driving me mad!

Bloody technology...

That colour looks fantastic. I'm looking to order an M4 coupe in the next few months and Yas Marina Blue in the current favourute. However, I've not seen one in the metal so I'm not 100% sure about it; in some pictures it can look too 'soft' and washed out, but in others, such as yours, it looks stunning. Would you say thay capture the colour well, or is it a bit lighter in person?

Whenever I'm in the US, I love the look of the Mustang in Grabber Blue, so if it's similar to that I'll probably go for it. I'll obviously have to see it for myself before signing on the dotted line, but any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'd say its a fair bit lighter than the pics suggest to be honest.

I also think the colour suits the 3 more than the 4 so if I were you get a good look at both.

It's a difficult colour to capture.

My Wife studied so many press shots etc before ordering because at the time there weren't any demos or customer cars in YMB to look at

Most pictured appeared different shades but TBF the colour does seem to change.....Even in these pics

Thanks for the reply, pretty much what I expected.

Good point you make over it suiting the M3 better than the M4 as that's been my observation from looking at pictures on the internet. The important thing is that I need to see it for real on an M4 before I make a decision.

Cheers.

Let's pretend, for a minute, some people like manual gearboxes and invite them to answer..................?

I'd certainly consider manual. DCT is a great gearbox but I miss the interaction of the manual from my E90 M3.
With all that torque I imagine a manual would be pretty satisfying. Holding onto 4th from low revs etc

Not quite the same but I have a Santorini Blue E92 and it looks different on different days (I would say it's very similar to YMB if slightly darker). If I didn't have the colour on my current car I'd probably get YMB on the M3/M4, but wouldn't feel like much of a change.

There is/was a YMB at Cooper TW recently.

My last car was a Santorini Alpina D3 - although the colours look similar in photos, they're quite different in real life.
The YMB is very much lighter and obviously it's metallic, which makes a difference.D

How did the delivery guy get in the car to reverse it out? Was he built like a pepperami?

Took a test drive of the M4 at the weekend, and have to say that I loved it. To me it's exactly what a modern M car should be - seriously fast when you want, but able to waft along when you're in the mood for a chill out.

Whilst I think I'll sometimes miss the top end fizz of the old V8, I think that the low down torque would be sufficient compensation in everyday driving. The thing for me is that the car still has that slight hooligan character and is more than happy to step out at the back end when provoked. Having had three M3's, it carries on the line very well, and I think I'll shortly place an order for one in time for a spring delivery.

Wasn't sure about Yas Marina Blue, but the dealer had an M3 in the service department which they let me have a look at. It's true what everyone say about it being totally different in the metal, and the good news for me is that I loved it so there's no need to go down the individual route.

Just waiting to see if they'll agree to the deal I want, but if not, I'm not too bothered as I'm in no rush. Can't imagine the no discount (or minimal discount) situation will last too long as there's not really a waiting list - I think on a dull Saturday afternoon in January they'll be more than willing to sell me a highly specced M4 with a few quid off.

Hope so anyway!
