I too think the E36 M3 is going up in value.

I'm restoring / minting one up at the moment, and I honestly love the car.

I'd suggest the values are going up as people realise they are actually very good / special cars. The onward advancement of technology in cars commonly removes any rawness / character. And many of us grew up wanting an E36 and are now in a position to buy one. It's also helped by them having pretty much lost their yob image and there is now a large rift between the good ones and the bad ones.

Also think that people who missed the e30 M3 boat have looked to the e36 as an alternative.

Good point actually Mark.

I don't think they will go to those levels. While I would love them to. The E36 wasn't as loved as the E30 as we all know frown.

Get yourself an E36 M3 saloon, far rarer than the common as muck and over hyped and overpriced E30 M3,discreet,practical,rapid and chuck in some ARB's,KW V3's,poly bushes & AP brakes and an E30 M3 would'nt see which way it went around a track,BMW only produced 415 3.0L versions and only 694 3.2 Evolutions vs over 17,000 E30 M3's!!biggrin

I can see them shooting up. In fact id lay money on it. It was always a desirable performance car. Forget internet hype around the subject "it was never an e30 m3". Truth is it was never designed in the same way that one was and quite frankly who cares?

Think back to how many replica e36 m3's theyre were around? Or 316i's with M3 badges on? It was always and WILL always be a desirable sports car.

I own an a 3.0 M3 GT. I have confidently spent a vast sum of money restoring it. Right now im sitting pretty happy here viewing threads about values of these cars. I know i have the best possible version available to the UK in a pretty much mint condition.

Time for a smiley i think smile

Also because they were easy to replicate with a few bolt on bits.

A question: it looks like M coupe values are only going to increase over time now. What's the opinion about the Z3M roadster? Are we likely to see these increase in value too, or will the view that it was never as good as the coupe stop this from happening?
