True to PH style there are some proper stupid comments on here....For example saying this car is crap merely on the exhaust sound as they heard it drive up the road ffs.

Others stating it's a disaster because it's not an M5

Most of these non believers haven't even driven this car

Thankfully there are some real world responses from guys that actually own a car and have lived to see how history repeats itself.
Firstly I didn't say this car is crap, I stated that from outside kit sounded dire. I stand over that. No sense of occasion when started. This is supposedly the range topper, an M car. I haven't driven the car because I'm not in the market for one. The E90 is on my radar, but it sounds exquisite, maybe even nicer than the 5 litre V8 in my M5.
This car is a product of the famous M division, but sound wise at least it might as well be a bog standard 335i. I want, and it appears I am not alone here, my Mcar to sound like an M car. When I want to hear something that sounds like a domestic appliance I'll get the Hoover out!

The M3 will carry on, it will be admired and even revered - when the next one makes its appearance.

BMW know how to make an M3, and are more forward looking than the average motorist.
