Carbon Roof, DCT and HUD and I'm in!!
All still to be confirmed...or not.
The decision will be...used M4 or new M2....tough call.

I read somewhere online (so it must be true wink ) that they won't do a DCT version due to it starting to conflict with M3/M4 sales.

I think it may be a tough sell unless they start dropping the price of the 2 series in general.

The m4 starts at 55k an m234i is 40k. So where exaxtly will the m2 be priced... As far as I can tell to me anyway, why buy an m235i when relatively speaking an m4 isn't too much more, then factor in deala, discounts preregistration

That's stunning!!

Fair point on price, I was in bmw yesterday and they had a m235i specced relatively well. It was £50450, and they had a pre reg offer on at £44450. Where do you price an m2 that it's not on the m4's toes?

I think you may be a little out with your figures...if we're talking base numbers, then

M235i - £34,260.00 (not £40,000...unless specced up)
M4 - £56,650.00 (or £60,000...specced up)

If they're all similarly specced up, then we have £40k and £60k each with the addition of a few toys.
So for arguments sake, we'll call it £35k & £55K base....I think that puts the M2 smack bang in the middle of them @ £45k base...this seems to be the popular figure being speculated.

By the time it arrives, early 2016, the used M4 will be easily in that range....hence used M4 v new M2.

That would be a close call, except the M2 will be easier to finance and I suspect slightly lower running costs all round. Plus, these days I'd never think of an M4 if a smaller, lighter, similarly quick M car was around.

My prices were based on a pair of preregistration cars at my local dealership separated by not too much cash....relatively speaking of course.

Maybe I misread. But i am pretty sure both were specced and m4 was prereg while m235i was not.
