That's a great price & good to know prices have kept dropping as were quite volatile in the Summer.

Good to hear most of you enjoying your M5's. Mine has now done 45k miles and has suffered turbo failure and has been in at Stratstone BMW derby since Nov 5th thats 45 days so far!!! and still no date for the new turbo's being delivered as there on back order from garret! best BMW Uk have told me is late dec early Jan but when I contacted a Garret retailer personally the date he was given is mid to late Jan!!! BMW's lack of spares to fix the car under warranty sucks and they dont seem to bothered by all my complaining either.

Have they given you a courtesy car in the mean time?

I get frustrated after a week or so when my car is in and parts are on back order but 45 days would probably make my hair fall out!

That sucks!

If something isn't in stock in the UK and has to be shipped over you can understand a delay up to a point but to actually have a part still on backorder with the original manufacturer is ridiculous and is an embarrassment for BMW's supply chain model!

Ran one for about 7,000miles this year. Car was a lemon. Turned out to need clutch packs replacing, few engine niggles to name a few. Total warranty costs stood around £10k. Car off road for many days, had five different hire cars throughout. Soon got bored of it and dealership accepted rejection. Great car when it worked. But let me down massively....and on one journey it just gave up the ghost. Hopped into an M135i as a good deal was offered in compensation by very accommodating dealer, and I've just this week bought another E60 V10 as I missed my old one too much....

Sorry to hear about the F10 issues.

I don't know if you remember but you offered me your E60 when I was looking for one just over a year ago. I bought one October 2013 and have loved every minute with no issues. It's unusual for someone to go back to the E60 after the F10. I've not driven the F10 M5 but would expect that would be my next car once they hit about 25k with sensible miles.

One things that does annoy me about the design.. Every time i open the back doors i get a rear seat full of water as it just simply runs off the roof into the car.. Not sure if the "gutters" are poorly designed, or mine are broken...

Nope, I also get drips on the rear seats but had assumed they'd simply fked up.

Never noticed as rarely open the back doors & the M5 spends her quiet time in the garage, but it's bad with the wife's new Mini Countryman in the front seats. More than a shower & a towel is needed before getting in.

Is an annoyance when something so obvious & simple isn't quite as it should be.

Yeah I've noticed a rear passenger seat full of water too when opening the doors. The boots the best when parked up hill. The spoiler and boot lid must hold a litre and that all goes in my boot when opening up
