They are also stopping production in February and starting again in July a 4 month hiatus.
I had your comment in mind when I went to the dealers today but was offered a March build slot for an M4 Convertible. Discount in the region of 15% seemed possible though feel there is more to eek out.http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=...
Edited to add they have made a change to the first post it's just a NA delay.

My competition pack individual should be in the uk within the next month. Keen to get my hands on it!
Something I found interesting from conversations with my supplying dealer was around 'M car allocation' and that there really aren't many being made or at least offered up to the UK market.
Does anyone know anything about this? Seems odd that you can't buy an m car when you want one, especially a production model that's been built for a couple of years (rather than a new model like he m2 last year).

I can only speak from my own experience trying to negotiate a deal with my local dealer.Something I found interesting from conversations with my supplying dealer was around 'M car allocation' and that there really aren't many being made or at least offered up to the UK market.

This would have been in very early September last year and they said that they only had 2 more M3/4s available for them to order until the end of the year. They were very much implying that there was a restriction of some sort in place.

Spoke with supplying dealer Friday and my new car is being built next week. I'm trading in my 2016 (16 reg) Silverstone/Silverstone against a new comp pack Individual - intrigued to see how the Comp Pack compares.
How much are you getting for trade in, just wondering as I'm looking very very soon and it timing was right.....Thanks
John
Trade in price I'm quite happy with, however will always consider other options. I achieved about 17% discount from memory on the first one, so year one depreciation based on the trade in price I have is circa £6k. The new one is a bit more expensive, being an individual and CP, so cost to change is about £9k.
My silverstone one is a manual as is my new CP (i'm in the minority).
PM me if you want to view / consider it. i'm based in Chessington Surrey.

LCI looks great and I'm glad the LED's are now standard as £1600 was a complete joke.
Remains to be seen if BMW start to discount them as heavily as they were previously...
I need to order within the next 3 months and also decide between M4 CP v Alfa QF.
The full Icon LED lights are still an option. £1200 now however.Remains to be seen if BMW start to discount them as heavily as they were previously...

Still includes High Beam assist.

I'd be really tempted by the QV as something different but the dealer network would have me wondering if they can offer the service BMW do.
(I know BMW service can vary but my local dealer is brilliant and TBH that is one of the reasons that has kept me in a BMW for last 15 years)
I use Sytner in Nottingham and theyve always been good to me.(I know BMW service can vary but my local dealer is brilliant and TBH that is one of the reasons that has kept me in a BMW for last 15 years)
My big gripe with the M3/M4 is still the engine, the CP cars do sound better, but combine a better sounding tamed Ferrari engine in the Alfa and MASSES of power and it's quite a compelling proposition.
My gripe(s) with the Alfa are the reported cheap switch gear and rubbish infotainment - I love the iDrive in my 640 and know the new iDrive is even better. 9000 mile servicing intervals also an issue, but with a £799 servicing plan not a deal breaker.
