Was offered £8k off a £71k M4 the other day, which has ceramics and every other option AFAIK. Didn't bite as I don't need that spec.

By the way has anyone had any quotes with an existing E92 to p/x? I've apparently got sh*t loads of negative equity at the half way mark, which took me by surprise. I only expect 1-2k.

I'd have thought the bid on your E92 M3 would have been strong as the M4's don't seem to be selling. Can I ask age, spec and mileage etc and the part ex figure?

13 plate, Edition model, they reckon it's worth £30k trade. Probably about right going by the prices on Autotrader etc. Problem is I apparently owe £38k including the balloon payment. I thought at the halfway point (24 months) the negative equity would have been way less, but oh well. I like the M4 but won't pay silly money for one.

That's way too low unless it has loads of miles and a manual. I was offered over 31k for my March 2012 22k miles dct with a few extras. Mine books 31 trade and 34-35 retail.

I agree, I got 34.5k for my Dec 12 Frozen silver edition car in August and that had 38,000 miles on it.

I bought a pre reg car which meant my dealer could offer a better APR than on a new car. I think it is 4.9% but cannot remember precisely. I can give people the details if you would like.
Just out of interest how long did you have to wait for the car then?

And could you choose between a selection of pre reg cars?

^ I can't speak for dulcinea but pre-reg cars are usually available within a week or so. There isn't much choice on options, in my experience each dealer only has access to 1-2. For some reason they seem to have more prereg M3s than M4s. The other problem I've found is that the normal APR is 10.9%, but not always.

I've been asking for M4 prices a for a few days now. First offers are a "Special Allowance"of GBP 2350 off list. When you look at the numbers, the car sells for 48 grand plus VAT. Since the car launch the Euro has devalued by 10% so the European manufacturers are making out like bandits for UK sales. If you factor in the Euro devaluation, the list price should be closer to 52k. Negotiate hard!!

When I bought my M3 in 2012 I paid 47K brand new. Not sure I can repeat that - I was told it was a one off - (of course it was)

One would really have to be bonkers to pay 10.9%. It should be half that

I don't know why anyone would pay it for a high-end car when they can presumably get credit themselves at 4.9% or whatever.

As for a £47k M3, I can beat that biggrin I paid £45k in 2010, one of the last pre-LCI models available. I honestly think pre-reg or ex-demo is the only way to go if purchasing in the next few months, until better deals become available. I was offered a 'token gesture' of £1500 off a factory order - wtf.

AS mentioned before-wait a bit until the c63 wipes the floor with the M3 and BMW will be offering deals to shift them.

Do you mean the Coupe? I can't find much info on the release date.

Coupe seems to be ages off. I'm not interested in saloons, surely it's closer to an M5 competitor?

Went to another dealer today and was offered 8% off (£5k) without much fuss. Seems that's the level that's fairly easy to attain, anything in addition is harder. Going to visit another local dealer tomorrow to see what they can offer.

I'd really like an extra 2-3k off to do the deal though.
