Park Lane is owned by BMW directly, whereas all the other dealers are franchised.
I didn't realise that, thanks !

It's a cash purchase and will probably keep it 18-30 months going by past experience. I'm impatient so decided to get the car at the earliest. Whilst I always like the latest toys etc in this case they don't seem a big enough improvement to justify a delay.
Out of curiosity did you go for any of the usual dealer 'extras' like paint protection and a service plan? Test driving today and I'm thinking about the best way to carve up a deal, I'm sure these will be discussion points.

5 year service pack for £1k is a must and I wouldn't bother with the rest.

Just bought a pre-reg M4 (20 miles), RRP ~ £65K + additional 5 year service inclusive pack thrown in at 17% discount. Could I have done better? Perhaps, but I also had a couple of grand of negative equity which the dealer also absorbed.

With it being pre reg what Apr did you get? I presume you didn't get the 4.9% available on new.

Yes, both. Paint protection was dropped to cost price but service plan was discounted as part of the package on the whole car.

Yes, I got the 4.9% as it's still available up to 60 days after registration.

I think you did very well there. Enjoy!

Cost price for paint protection? About £30?

Can I just check - are you advising that you got 17% discount on the service pack, or that they threw it in for nothing on a deal where you got 17% off the car? Have you included the cost of the service pack in your RRP of ~ 65k?

I might be being dim, but I'm not clear.

Hi

Best I could get on in stock M3 wa just over 9%.
Seem to be several cheap M4's at moment, but no M3's, except that horrible bright sky blue.

Thanks

Sorry, my lack of clarity. The 17.74% is the total discount of (Vehicle RRP OTR + negative equity + Service Pack RRP).

I want a manual M4 at the lowest possible price. They seem really rare so it's going to have to be a new order rather than a pre-reg.

Does anyone know any dealers that are giving good discounts on new orders?

Is there a way to find pre-reg cars? There seem to be some on the BMW Approved Used website but I suspect there are many more...

Also been on the hunt for a manual M4, here is the spec being used and the best deal I've managed to turn up:

M4 Coupe
Alpine White
Sakhir Extended Leather
Manual Gearbox

Sun Protection Glass
Front Sliding Armrest
Carbon Interior Trim
M-Head Up Display
Harman Kardon Stereo
5yr Service Pack

Deal is:

£10k deposit
£585 x 48 months
8000 miles per year
(Factory order & September delivery)

Seems reasonable compared to some of the monthly figures that were being thrown around at the start, which were nearly 30% higher... but what do you guys think??

Cheers,
Grant

That's just under £40k in 4 years/32k miles, what's the interest rate and the discount? Have you tried Tony Lewis at Chiswick BMW ?

BMW finance page is being updated just now, so maybe there will be something new in a day or two, who knows. I have been looking around and dealers seem pretty reluctant to do much on the M3/M4. Max 10% off for a pre-reg car and then 5% APR for the finance. Makes the M5 /M6 with the full-fat V8, big discounts and 0% finance look like a no-brainer if you are looking at a new one.
