Had a go in the new M3 both yesterday and today. I really liked it apart from the steering which was just a bit weird. With the m performance exhaust, it actually sounds amazingly nice. And I thought it handled very tidily. Even in soaking wet weather yesterday, it was very well behaved and when you put your foot down, it flies.

I'm wondering what sort of discount is available - 18% sounds great. I'll aim for that.

Really? That's a lot more than I thought it would be. Looks pretty good with the CF surrounds.

I've got it fitted to mine, it does sound good, blips on downshifts not as pronounced as it was on the E92 MPE though

18% sounds like quite a discount. Sounds too good to be true.

My local dealer has got an M3 saloon in the showroom...very dark green with full light grey leather (including the dashboard etc) etc. Looked the dogs danglies.

Dealer said that the car actually "belongs to BMW GB" (rather than the dealer) and that they have specced a number of these cars and sent them out to dealers as they want to sell more cars with individual options. Obv these are for sale...most dealers just wouldn't option cars that highly for stock I suppose.

See the other thread about M3 individual colours. Supposedly there are 150 of the cars in varying colours out there.

I have just bought one (just before it was delivered to the showroom) and i know my dealer has had two other individual ones before, they were discussing with me what colour they were going to request next.

I believe they are all BMW UK stock until sold by the dealer, at least that is what my initial paperwork suggests

ETA they are all specced very highly, im only missing the CCB, heated steering wheel and the irrelevant Internet and entertainment bits.

Congrats on the new purchase, looks the dogs! Judging by the amount of people on that thread that have bought them BMW have made a good decision.

Mind I'll be honest the first thing I noticed was the orange peel on the green one I saw today. On a car that looks that special worth getting a detailer to sort that I think!

No one likes having their word questionedshoot . But I guess this is the internet and people can say anything, so equally people will doubt the veracity of anything bordering on the extreme. I've no intention of doing 'custard' on the numbers, but what I will say is that I don't think I'll be the last to lay claim to 18% discount on these highly specced BMW GB cars. Indeed, I'll be surprised (but quietly delighted!) not to hear it beaten...

Taken this evening after the first fill up. This is grey black, although not the example shown on the 'Individual' thread at Barons.

Day light pictures to follow. Oh, and Continentals frown

I honestly intended no offence. I apologise my friend.

In a few years I can get my dream car. I never thought the discounts would be this good on an M car. I apologise for any offence caused. For what it's worth I love the colour on your car.

I may take you up on your offer of a beer. lick Glad all is well now. Thank you for being understanding.

Really though I love the colour of your car. I always thought my car would be Yas Marina as its a classic M car colour to me. But that colour really looks so nice your car. Looking forward to pictures in daylight. What is the colour called? How are you finding the car? You must be loving it.

Thank you for accepting my apologies. I may take you up on the beer offer if your local?

I honestly do love that colour and look forward to seeing it in the light. I always was sure Yas marina was my M3 but not so sure now. How are you getting on with the car? Did you try other cars before buying this?

Not wanting to query something that could be contentious but.... I'm interested that this is an LCI M3 but with pre-LCI dash wrt the heating display? My 335d LCI has the change over to white display digits on the heating display and the illuminating light around it.....the car pictured has red and it's not easy to see the light? So is this something that hasn't filtered through to the M3 or have I just missed something?
Either way beautiful car, I'm aiming at an M3 next but have no idea what colour (current car is Tanzanite) and will be getting manual which rules out every dealer car that I've currently seen when wandering through the showroom "on the off chance"!
