Can anyone work this out then? The official LCI pictures definitely have white climate control (which also came with an update in the graphics. Some have Amber on there (??? Sept) LCI M cars whilst others have white. The climate doesn't seem configurablet as opposed to the ambient lighting so those are two separate things. I wonder if anyone has an LCI car with definite build date of say December and what colour theirs is? Not wanting to start a conspiracy theory, but could there have been an interim crossover where some cars had the previous climate display with the othrer LCI changes? Seems highly unlikely. I can't tell from the photos whether the graphics on the amber displays are the new ones or old ones.
My new one has the white display for the heating, build date 30th September.

That is one hell of a stunning M3 BTW.
Cheers! When do you get yours?

I've added a daylight pic below. I think it's going to be one of those colours that looks good in some lighting conditions and maybe not so good in others.

As to the Contis, so far so good. The road conditions are not great as we know at the moment and although I'm being relatively gentle during the running in period, I've been pleasantly surprised at their performance. Longevity will be the other factor, I very much doubt they'll last as long as MPSS. However that may be a blessing in the form of an early opportunity to change over to the Michelins.

Nearly forgot, orange CC display with headlights on, white with headlights off.

I'm toying with the idea of a new M3 but think I might be taking a bath with my 6 GC after just a year in on my PCP deal.

I'm interested to hear what people have had off a new M3 specd up to circa £60k and what PCP deal they managed to achieve ?

If I can get to £600 a month with a £5k deposit I may consider but interested to compare with others if this is pie in the sky or not !?

I hear so much about dealers not being able to move M3 and M4's at the moment but would they go this low ???

Cheers for that we've cleared up the lighting question, end of the month for me, I think grey/black is stunning against the light interior esp with CCB.

I think you're spot on about the Conti's they won't last as long as MPSS I got 28k out of mine on the M5 which is crazy.

I'm going off to find a tyre review, they might not be that bad...he hopes.
I have new Contis on my latest E92 M3 and they aren't a patch on the MPSS.
I'll probably swap them out (at least on the rear) when spring arrives.

I've got a fully loaded DCT M4 at the moment but seriously looking at a manual M3 due to the new addition to the family. Wondering whether I'll get hammered on trade in and whether I should wait for the CP, despite hating the wheels!

You might be pleasantly surprised at what you get offered on trade in at the moment. With some of these amazing deals going through just now, I really do sense that 0% PCP is just around the corner... Could be wrong of course smile

It might be possible to spec a CP car with standard/black 437M wheels, as some did the equivalent with the M5/M6 CP when it was discovered that the CP wheels were in fact cast and not forged and therefore not as tough (forged vs cast = greater mechanical toughness with forgednerd). I believe the M5/M6 CP wheels were also heavier. The M3/M4 CP wheels are said to be lighter - even going from 19" to 20" - but if you don't like the design, and you're probably not alone, then I'd imagine your exact spec could still be catered for.

I'm learning as I go here, but the BMW GB cars seem to have been distributed amongst various dealers. Some have mid specs, some have almost everything. Best bet would be to phone around. Clearly they don't want to give them away, but at the same time they are motivated to move stock. Mineral Grey is an awesome colour and if I was speccing my own car I'd have gone for that. Mine is Grey Black which is flat (non-metallic) and intended to be the colour applied to the 997.2 GT3RS. I think it worked slightly better on the rear engined car...

...off to get the wheels painted red biggrin

My car was spec'd up to £61K and I paid £10K deposit/£500 a month
They say for every grand you put down it takes £25 a month off your monthly payments so you should be able to get what you want.

be interesting to see what CP wheels weight compared to standard 19" wheels.

both 19" and 20" wheels are forged

eek

I'd have some of that if I can get a nice spec car in a nice colour, and would trade in the 135i when it hits 5 years old in May.
May have to pay a visit to my dealer on Saturday and have a sniff around ......scratchchin

As I thought orange buttons and display with changeable ambient lighting, thanks Grant.
Yeahhhh, I've just proved myself wrong. laugh

Driving the car this afternoon, I noticed that the display was showing white digits/symbols. Then, when I went through a fairly long tunnel, just as the Navigation screen switched to night mode, the climate screen switched to orange digits/symbols as per the pictures I posted last night.

Here is the display in all it's daytime glory... so it would seem that you get both colours. redfacelaugh

love the illuminated gear knob smile
Yeah it's great, seems to illuminate much better than the illuminated gear knobs in E46/E39 M-cars that I've seen; although, to be fair, they weren't new at the time.

Cheers,
Grant

I've never noticed (had the car nearly 18 months...) but don't the early ones have the ambience lights around the centre console as in the pics?
