I bought a pre reg car which meant my dealer could offer a better APR than on a new car. I think it is 4.9% but cannot remember precisely. I can give people the details if you would like.

Sure, if you can please PM me the details that would be great, was it a BMW main dealer?

Edit: I don't actually know if you can PM on this forum

Congrats on your order, what sort of discount did you get if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you, I can't wait!

Truth be told, I couldn't tell you the exact discount I had but I believe it's in the £6K region. I was part exchanging an 18 month old Audi S5 so I was in negative equity by just over £2K (Some dealers were saying they had bids that meant I had over £4K of neg). This has been wiped out by the dealer, plus I had £4K off list price. This combined with a lower APR of 5.9% meant it was cheaper for me to buy new!

Hi guys,
Im currently chasing a deal on M3 but there seems to be better deals out there for m5`s.
Don't want to end up with M135i but 20% discount on my specced version is tempting, but on the other hand M2 is around the corner.
What would you recommend? I need a car as I have to hand back my company diesel rep mobile by April.
Where would be the best place to hit for best M3 deals?
I have found decent approved used here @ Pistonheads : http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...
Thanks in advance for your advice guys.

Yeah sounds a good deal compared to what I've seen elsewhere!
Still a bit on the high side for me though.
Will have to play the waiting game I think which isn't a massive issue.
I'm not even a year into my 3 year M135i deal yet!

Depends what sort of deposit you have and what your budget is for monthly payments I suppose?
General feeling is any decent discounts wont be available until April at the very earliest!

Are you paying cash or monthly?

The M2 isn't "really around the corner", it hasn't even been officially confirmed yet, some reports are saying it'll be manual only, others are saying it'll be 4WD, etc. It's unlikely it'll be out before 2017 and then you'd need to wait a few months to get any decent deal and not pay OVER the list, in all likelihood. By the time the M2 is out the M4 will probably be about £45k biggrin

I think it has been confirmed now?
Should be unveiling it in March with production starting in November.
But yes will probably have a list price of 45K and no chance of discounts for at least 6-9 months!

^ It hasn't been confirmed by BMW. It's as clear as day that they're going to make it, in fact they're already testing it out on the roads apparently in Germany... But there's no official word yet is what I meant. AFAIK.

I got the chance of what I think is a good deal.
Well speced m4 , black with adaptive lights etc, hk stereo, armrest
Service pack

No deposit and £ 750 per month 12k per annum.

Managed to negotiate 11.5k off what I think is 67k list. I get the feeling they are desperate to get rid as it needs to be registered by tomorrow evening. I think it's a good deal but the fact that they came down to my suggested price makes me think I could have got more. May play hard ball when I get the inevitable phone call in the morning from them :-) and no I'm no telling you what dealer it is :-)

they may want shod of it but tomorrow has no significance. It's not the end of any known deadline for bmw. Good luck, let us know the score. Owned m3's from new before but i wouldn't pay more than 55k loaded. when the c63 blows its doors off in 6 weeks the discounts will flow

Don't know what the significance of 31st jan. They just said it has to be registered by end of play tomorrow as its in dealer stock ready . They offered 5k off with 6k deposit . I jokingly said loose the 6k deposit and we will talk and they came back an hour later and said come in and talk

if it is 67k then that a DCT car with every option ticked exluding full leather and ceramics, check the full spec before you do the deal.

But if it is then that looks quite good.

Can you post the APR and any p/x ? On those figures (£55,500 at 48 months on 6.4% APR with £0 deposit and FMGV of £25k) the payments come out at 850 a month.

31st Jan is end of sales month. Sales guy low on figures wants to shift it to make money or dealer needs the to release cash.

Hence a good time to buy, you have good leverage over the deal.
