Dealers have lots of showroom m4 stock so they won't be buying any more as they appear not to be shifting !

Thanks.

As mentioned above, I need to pull my finger out really given the upcoming tax changes.

Thats not quite how it works...how cars are forward ordered is quite an involved process for BMW UK, BMW AG and UK dealers. A UK dealer has a contract with BMW UK for the number and types of cars he orders and can't make short term changes...except to take any extra cars that BMW UK may have.

That discount is the best I've seen on an M3.

I was at my local dealer today and the best they could do on an M4 (which seem to attract better discounts) was around £6k on a car which is already on its way. Pretty crap compared to C2C and nowhere near your deal.

I tried three local dealers
Two never got back to me and the other wasn't interested when I told them I had an online price

My local dealer said he would match any deal, this was after he initially offered me a measly £3k off list. I negotiated a very good deal with Matt (MPJ) over the course of about a week, taking up a lot of his time. Once I got to where I wanted to be I ordered it, there was no way I was going to turn my back on him after he had spent so much time getting me the deal I wanted. It did mean a traveling down to Sheffeild from Newcastle but I'd rather do that than give the business to my lazy local dealer. It's just unfortunate that I'll have to take it to them for servicing etc.

Stratstones opening offer was 8.5k off list before any negotiation

My dealer's opening shot was that they've only got one more M4 allocated for the rest of the year so no incentive to scalp more off it than they really need to.

Looks like I need to try elsewhere.

Sheffield you say..?

I'm only 20 miles away and my current leased 330d came from Sheffield.

Might have to take a trip down there...

Did you go direct to Alphabet or through a broker. A link would be helpful if you have one?

Quite interesting seeing those figures. We use alphabet through work and get some pretty good deals. I emailed them last week asking about M2/M3/M4 are rough deals or is the price when I log in online a spec a car simply the price no negotiations.

Will see what they reply with when I get back to work in a couple of weeks

Indeed, go where the deals are. These cars plummet in value. You must get the best deal possible. My local dealers offer nothing. I tell a lie. Floor matts.

Are these £10k a year depreciation cars if owned for 3 years average miles 15k a year?

Dealers must take them. They have no choice. It's part of the deal

I think the early adopters will loose close to that. Now that you can get £10k off list then I'm thinking £10k ish in the first year and £5k a year after that
