£750/month! jeeeeeeesus!

Some scary numbers there. Got to hope that residuals beat the GFV!

Just had mine serviced today, the dealer had 3 new M3 in stock but no M4, if they'd had full leather and surround view I'd have been tempted to do a deal, thankfully they didn't.

Mine was in on Wednesday for a service, they had 2 M3's (one had the CP). No M4's in though.

Surround view is good, but I've never used the front cameras at a junction yet.

I wish I had it as I have to pull up and out of my drive, coming from below the level of the main road and if cars are parked either side I can't see a thing, so have to either listen (difficult with the cold start) or edge out using blind faith.

I'm I right in thinking the cameras on the front would give me a view?

Yes they would, but you obviously need to be out enough for them to have sight.

I had a test in a 5 series with this option it's superb.
Not just for pulling out of T junction it's also very usual if parked and say drivers side is against the kerb you can see as you ease out again rather than leaning over in the car.

Are these £10k a year depreciation cars if owned for 3 years average miles 15k a year?
I think the early adopters will loose close to that. Now that you can get £10k off list then I'm thinking £10k ish in the first year and £5k a year after that
So if keeping from new for 2 years it's £625 PCM in depreciation alone. Keep it for 3 the average depreciation drops to £556pcm.

I think 15K first year and 8/9K there after.

So for 2 years £1k PCM on depreciation alone that's not insignificant.

For most new M3 buyers they are using £20k gross salary a year just to find the depreciation. Hmm

Even against list price that is a bit high, Mine would be worth £13k after 4 years if that's the case, the GFV is £27k so BMW will be taking a big hit smile.
5 year old M3 are still worth around mid £20k trade so I can't see that they will drop that much.

That's for the first 3 years after that who knows, so say 60K purchase first year: 45K ,: year two 37/38K, year three, £30K after that !!!!! up or down.bounce

previous model but they all follow the same curve. I lost 16.5k in 18 months and only 5k miles. It was showroom condition-sold to a trader.

Almost all new car depreciate rapidly - this is hardly news?

Not sure anyone ever believed otherwise?

Unless it's a limited production run then any BMW will depreciate.

I lost 10.5k over 18 months and 38k miles on my last e92 M3, which was better than I hoped considering the mileage.

Can't grumble at that, reckon my F31 335d lost more in its first 18 months despite having been bought with a 25% discount on list! So much for diesels holding their value while big-engined petrols drop like a brick...... mad

You should try buying a new Alpina if you want to see depreciation at its fking worst

Yes I imagine it's dreadful, I was pleasantly surprised by the limited loss on the M3.
