I think this update is just for the phone and infotainment. I've got the latest software from BMW.com installed, but I don't have the sport display (boo!)
True guys! I just checked mine and I don't have the sports display, even though I did the website update about 2 weeks ago. So can we just ask the dealership to do this? Is it a chargeable service to do a full software update? I noticed that my Nav version is from 2013, but the car has been serviced recently. Clearly SW upgrades aren't part of the standard service.

I'll write an email to BMW to find out what's what and will let you know the outcome.

Software updates are chargeable unless you have an issue which has been fixed in updated software. If you can find a list of the changes in various software versions you might see' a fix for a problem that you have 'recently noticed' ehem.

I don't think this can be added and it's really no great deal.

I certainly wouldn't pay for it nono

Spoke to BMW customer service, and their Connected Drive "expert" was as helpful as a chocolate teapot. A lot of "I think" "should be" etc but no clear answer. I will send an email.

It can't be done AFAIA, even the in US they drew a blank an they're pretty good at coding/getting dealers to do firm ware updates etc..

I wanted them on the M5 when it didn't have them but oddly I never used them on the F80 (it's a case of wanting what you haven't got)

It is a complete gimmick and something you'd more likely expect on a GTR than a luxury salon, but it would be fun to see how high you can get the numbers, even just a few times!

Just discovered them today on my F10 520d Lux.

Completely pointless, but a bit of fun.
