I have read on a number of forums you can set of the panic alarm on F10 BMW by holding down the close button on the key, has anyone heard of this or got it to work?

Cheers

Most BMWs have this feature in different guises. It does need to be set/enabled in the ECU first though.

If I hold down the close button the mirrors fold, and any open windows (or sunroof) begin to close.

And if you hold the open button it should open all windows and the sunroof. Also some BMW coupes have a trick where if you press unlock twice when opening the door the window drops to help you get in in tight spaces.

Tis funny learning new things about a car we think we know all about.

Never heard of this panic alarm but only found out a few weeks ago that the Auto Boot could be closed from the remote as well as the button on the inside of the bootlid.
