Anybody know of any for sale/coming up for sale in the near future ? I've looked on the usual car sites, eBay/autotrader/gumtree/here & only a few around, nothing so far has taken her fancy (it's for the Mrs.)
Not looking for a garage queen, even a car needing a bit of work could be considered, just has to be, you know, 'the right car'

There's an Estoril Blue on M3 Cutters forum for £5k with under 90k miles. Shame I'm after a Coupè.

Carandclassic, ebay, pistonheads, autotrader, gumtree.

But, they're all being kept now.

Seems there's a growing band of people after an E36 M3. I'd love to get my hands on a Coupè but no-one is selling. Fingers crossed for some decent ones coming up in the spring.

A brace of Coupès on eBay at the moments but high miles. Still, it's interesting to see what they go for. I suspect a few owners are guilty of overvaluing their cars but if it's worth a certain amount to them then it's hard to argue.

I phoned up about the Estoril Coupè on Car and Classic that is being auctioned in March. Surprisingly I can't get to Silverstone on a Tuesday. Are auctions of that type really an effective way to sell cars? The process to even submit a phone bid was laborious and costly. It would then be several hundred in removal and storage fees. I'd be interested to know what it goes for if anyone heads down. Given that there is one with fewer miles on the market that has been sat at £15k for months I can't see that going for more than £13k. I'd have paid £10-11k. Hardly seems worth thei bother for them.

That one does look nice & at a very good price from a dealer, including the hardtop which are normally £400-500 separately.
One we would consider if it was an Evo 3.2.

Not really the time of year yet for a vert. Especially as these are old cars now and the decent ones will probably be SORNed in the winter.

I'm tossing up whether to sell mine later this year or hold onto it... having spent £1200 on a new roof I'd wanna get the most out of it as I won't get that back come resale time!

I'm in a similar boat. Desperately want an E39 M5 but since prices are a chunk above what my E36 is worth and the fact i've just spent £400 fixing the roof i'll be hanging onto it unless and E39 comes up!

A guy on Cutters popped his into WBAC, did mine for a laugh. £5000, pleasant suprise!!

Be warned, if you get a good one you'll fall in love with it. I've had mine for a few years and was supposed to sell when I got my Corvette. I couldn't bring myself to, much to my wifes annoyance. So I got to keep it with the clear instruction that I had to sell one if I wanted to buy any more. She has since said several times she wishes I would sell the M3 and that she doesn't really like it. Recently though, for one reason or another, she has had to drive it a bit (needed 4 seats and she has an SLK) and last night she told me she is starting to really like the BMW and seems to be starting to understand why I was so reluctant to sell.

I do still have pangs of "maybe I should sell it", but I watched my wife driving it up the road yesterday and thought how lovely it looked (her as well of course hehe).

I think I like it so much because it's a convertible, which to me makes summer driving much more fun, and makes the car that bit more special to me. I suspect that if I had bought a coupe I probably would have sold it by now.
